The BS-3 100mm anti-tank gun was a cannon in service in the Soviet Union that still sees service in the Russian army. It is also a unit available in Flames of War.
IRL[edit]
The BS-3 was created in order to give additional firepower to anti-tank teams after the introduction of heavier German tanks, like the Tiger, though Kingtigers would only be killed if it was within 1.5 kilometers of the target. It also saw service as a field cannon, though it was not designed for this role.
The BS-3 still is in active service in the Russian 18th Machine Gun Artillery Division. They are currently being used in the Kuril islands with the intent of using them as Anti-landing and anti-ship weapons.
