Vartijan Exo-Driller

Its like an Exo-Armour that ate one too many Emprah Burgers.

The Vartijan Exo-Driller is the Ironhead Squat Prospectors' equivalent of a Terminator Squad. Possibly the only Terminator-like unit in the entirety of Necromunda.

Overview

The operator of the Vartijan Exo-Drillers are those of renown experience in mining the various quarries of Necromunda. As expected, they are so named after the power armour they wear, which is called the Vartijan Exo-Driller Armour. These absolute UNITS are so big and bulky, they are just stopped shy of being called a mini-mecha.

Their armour itself is named after the legendary engineer Valya Vartijan, who reverse-engineered the old Votann Exo-Armour into something more utilitarian. The resounding modifications gave us an Exo-Armour that trades mobility and flexibility for balls-out firepower and protection. Seriously, this thing is a god damn monster that is the equivelent of dropping a single Centurion in a den of murderhobos. It ain't gonna end well with the murderhobos.

As a unit carrying some Terminator-levels of firepower and toughness, this thing might as well be a boss. It is armed with a Vartijan Fist with a in-built Seismic Crusher for melee and either a Heavy Bolter or Heavy Flamer for range attacks.

Crunch

On Necromunda, the Exo-Driller is one of the toughest bastards in the game. Whilst not quite as beefy as an Ambot, it is able to one-shot basically any unit that gets in its way. It is tough, hits very hard and can act as a one man army. Due to these traits, this heavy flamer-toting power suit actually specializes much better in sentry duty. When sentries are deployed, the Exo-Driller can be added as an additional defender – even if that takes the crew over the size. Given that your opponent may need an entire army of dedicated tank busters to deal with the Exo-Driller, this absolute unit can act as a giant brick to cockblock objectives for the lulz.
