MechaTop is an upcoming tabletop game by Tabletop Systems LTD that uses customizable bases for models of (mostly) mecha and kaiju to use in war gaming. This game was launched on KickStarter in June 2020 with a goal of 17,500 euro that has been surpassed. The game makes use of dice, cards, and tokens to initiate various actions and the bases were made to accommodate kits and figures in different sizes. In the example pictures featured most of the models used are from Gundam (mostly Universal Century and Build with some Wing thrown in), Evangelion, Pacific Rim, Transformers, and GaoGaiGar with some Daitarn 3 and Gurren Lagann for variety. Was anyone else expecting Gasaraki or Full Metal Panic? The game includes four playmates roughly two meters long consisting of a city, a swamp, a desert, and space. The rule book is available in multiple languages including Italian, French, German, Chinese, Japanese, Polish, Filipino, and Spanish. The modes included in the game include Solo, Duel, Tournament, Skirmish, and Campaign.

A sequel/expansion to the game dubbed 2nd Call started its KickStarter campaign on June 6, 2023. Within 36 hours of launching the project was fully funded. Among the new editions included new bases including a 1/2000th scale, three campaign books for a story mode, three playmats (runway, sky, and tundra), kaiju exclusive rules (featuring a kaiju that looks an awful lot like Grrkek from Megas XLR), an arcade mode, more rules for large scale battles, a level up system, and custom dice. Mostly the same models and figures as last time with new demonstrations include Steel Jeeg, Golion/Lion Force Voltron, Jehuty from Zone of The Enders, a Shield Liger from the original Zoids (Likely Van's), and a Condor Z-25 from G.I. Joe. According to the KickStarter page two new spin offs using the same system are coming consisting of Starships (who here likes big space ships going boom?) and Heroes (self explanatory).
