Ferrax was a Forge World in the Segmentum Pacificus of the Milky Way. Due to the horrors endured by its people during the Age of Strife, Ferrax became unusually martial in outlook and the activity of its Machine Cult centred around the resident Titan Legion, Legio Nova to the extend that the Grand Masters of the Nova ruled Ferrax absolutely. After rediscovery in the Great Crusade, Ferrax at first was attracted to the Non-Conformist League headed by Al-Sherar and spurned the leadership of Mars. However, as the hegemony of the Kazi became more burdensome, Ferrax simmered in revolt. The exile of Legio Antsar and the convulsions of the Hektor Heresy gave the Grand Masters an opportunity to strike, and they did not hesitate. Legio Nova ravaged Al-Sherar's colonies until the forces of Ghalhal, spearheaded by Legio Cataegis, checked their depravity.
