Eliciters are a class for Spheres of Power. While they're capable of surviving in fights as a mid-caster with a mid BAB and good Reflex and Will saves, it's main role is its ability to manipulate enemies in ways beyond merely the Mind Sphere. Unlike the Mesmerist, the Eliciter has two different ways: The more basic Hypnosis to use for temporary debuffs and boosts, and the more in-depth Emotions, which allow the Mesmerist to make a touch attack to either buff allies or control enemies based on a particular emotion. This does fortunately also lead into significant boosts to social skills, which only fits for a Charisma-focused caster - until Ultimate Spheres of Power made the casting stat a choice, but it's still ideal for what you do.

Unfortunately, this isn't quite as versatile as its sibling class the Symbiat since the various emotions can only either buff or debuff with limited room in between without compromising either end.

The archetypes given to the Eliciter are sadly few but no less vital, replacing either emotions or hypnotism for different perks.

  • Empathic Duelist gives a hook into the Spheres of Might, granting access to martial talents. In exchange for hypnotism, the Duelist instead gains the ability to psychically connect to enemies in order to gain a list of advantages over them that increases with levels.
  • Hypnotist trades the Emotions with the ability to pick up Investigator talents, mostly to make their skills as a face also spread to either more uses or covering more skills.
  • Id replaces hypnotism to instead go all-in on the emotion train, gaining effects for your touches at double the rate.
  • Sympath replaces hypnotism with a phantom as if they were a Spiritualist. This phantom may not be able to influence the Sympath very much, the Sympath is able to channel their abilities through the phantom with the additional perk of being able to hot-swap both emotion powers and the phantom's emotional focus.
