The unholy fusion of a flea and grasshopper.

Dustback Helamites or simply known as just Helamites, are giant irradiated insects that looks like the unholy lovechild of a flea, a grasshopper and Southeast Asian cockroach. Thet are native to Necromunda's desert wastelands and can be ridden by the Ash Waste Nomads.

Overview[edit]

Helamites provide an Ash Wastes Nomad gang with speed and tactical flexibility, and their riders hit like a truck with their vicious chain lances – as you’d expect from a spear with a built-in Chainsword. These riders are called the Tarh'noki and serve as the clan's preeminent cavalry unit.

The Helamites themselves are viscious but tamable carnivores that travel in packs to hunt down bigger prey. Their hard, chitinous exoskeleton and powerful mandibles makes them somewhat tough to take down with basic weapons. But their most useful trait is their sheer agility and speed; hopping around like some kind of eldritch locust that will make most folks shit their pants. If you're scared of creepy-crawlies, these aren't the guys for you.

Crunch[edit]

On Necromunda, Helamites grant their riders an automatic 8” Move. They also have 3+ Initiative across the board, which is quite relevant if you want to be boarding your enemies’ vehicles during fast-moving raids. These guys are your quintessential speed daemons. Use them well.
