Dying is easy, Comedy, now that's hard. It can spice up your game night, possibly even elevate it to new heights if everything goes right but there's always the risk of it falling on it's face. What's a gut buster to some gets only uncomfortable silences out of others and there are times when it is not warranted. Jest with care and consideration.

Favored pasttime of the clown god.

So you want to add some comedy?[edit]

When it comes to actually making jokes we can't help you with that. That's something you got to figure out for yourself. That said here's some general pointers...

  • Know your Audience: Know what your group finds funny and what they don't. Humour is subjective.
  • Know when to let up: Even if you are legitimately good, don't let the flow be constant. Clowny mcSlapstick is generally not welcome in a genuinely somber moment.
  • Work on your Delivery: An excellent joke can easily be killed if it's not articulated well.
  • Don't Punch Down: Belittling those who are less fortunate, well off or powerful than you for being as such generally is not advisable.
