Introduction[edit]

This codex is for all the Angry units which exist within the Angry universe within warhammer 40k... But don’t fit within the Codex - Angry Marines 8th Edition, units like the infamous Inquisitor Badassious, or rogue/angrier than usual assassins from the Officio Assassinorum. These units can be used alongside the units from the angry marines codex (providing support or pinpoint threat removal), or by themselves.

Officio Iratus Special Rules[edit]

Abilities[edit]

  • HAND IT OVER BITCHES!!!: Inquisitors are known for taking things, vehicles, ships, planets, exterminartus weaponry, and objectives are no exception.
  • If your army is Battle-forged, all Troops units in Codex - Officio Iratus Detachments gain this ability. such a unit that is within range of an objective marker (as specified in the mission) controls the objective marker even if there are more enemy models within range of that objective marker. if an enemy unit within range of the same objective marker has a similar ability, then the objective marker is controlled by the player who has the most models within range of it as normal. In addition to this, Codex - Officio Iratus units ignore the faction specific keywords when using transportation.
  • FUCKING HERETICS!!!: (insert exterinartus explosion here).
    • Units with this rule add 1 to their attack and strength characteristics in a turn in which they charged, were charged or performed a heroic intervention.
  • Too Fucking Angry to be hit: The angry agents of the imperium have a distain for their enemies matched only by the fury of angry marines high command.
    • A unit with this rule has a 4++ invulnerability save.
  • Head Hunters Supreme: The assassins of the officio assasinorum are the finest such tools the imperium has at their disposal, and the agents of the officio iratus are no exception.
    • Keep track of how many units are slain by models with rule throughout the battle (CHARACTERS count as 2 units, CHARACTERS with more tha 9 maximum wounds count as 4, VEHICLES count as 1 for every 5 wounds they have, morale casualties do not count towards this). Then, consult the table below:
      • Bloodthirsty 0-3: Add 1 to the attack charecteristics of models with this rule.
      • A Grim and Bloody Sight 4-6: Enemy units within 12” of a model with this rule subtract 1 from their leadership characteristic.
      • Mad with the Brutality 7-9: Models with this rule ignore damage recieved on a 5+.
      • Drenched in Slaughter 9+: Models with this rule gain the benefits of all the previous abilities.
  • Followers of the Angry Bastards:
    • Units with this rule can never loose more than 3 models during a morale phase as long as there is an ANGRY CHARACTER within 3” of them.
  • Very Specific Hatred:
    • Before the battle starts choose a faction keyword (eg ultramarines) present in your opponent’s/opponents’ force. For the duration of the battle, units with this rule may re-roll failed wounds in a fight phase in which they charged, were charged or performed a heroic intervention against units with that faction keyword.
  • FUCK THE BOLTER!!!: While other chapter’s marines will spend decades honing their skills with the bolter with stationary drills, indoctrination, strip cleaning, combat drills etc, the angry marines... don’t. They see the bolter as a means of keeping the enemies heads down and a crude club at best, and a “WASTE OF FUCKING SPACE AMD WEIGHT WHICH I COULD USE TO CARRY A FUCKING TWO BY FOUR!!!” As such, angry marines are nowhere near as well drilled in using the bolter as their cousin chapters. Or at least, not as well drilled in the bolters conventional uses...:
    • All ANGRY MARINE ADEPTUS ASTARTES gain this rule. Any such model armed with a bolt weapon may fire their bolt weapon at an enemy unit even if that enemy unit if 1” or closer to the firing unit, or if the enemy unit is 1” or closer to another friendly unit, but at a -1 to hit. The unit firing the bolt weapon does not suffer a -1 to hit if:
      • The firing unit is a TERMINATOR, BIKER or VEHICLE.
      • Has the CHARACTER keyword.
      • Or did not move during the previous movement phase.
In addition to this, any model armed with a bolt pistol may make an additional attack with the following profile each time it fights:

Stratagems[edit]

Warlord Traits[edit]

  • Exterminatus Mad: Inquisitors are not known for their restraint. For a lot of inquisitors if you told them that there was a heretic on a planet and gave him a nuke there would be about a 50:50 chance of him just nuking the planet. This individual however, doesn’t even stop to consider the matter, they arrive from the warp already firing cyclonic torpedoes from the mere wiff of Hersey. And this is not restricted to the safety of space, they will quite happily start virus bombing a planet they are standing on just to be sure.
    • Before the battle begins declare that your warlord is “exterinartus mad” and ordered their ship in orbit to start bombarding the planet. For the rest of the battle the “End of the World” rules/scenario applies. If the “End of the World” is already in effect then instead double the number of mortal wounds that any unit would receive because of the scenario.
  • Ex Angry Marine: It is not unknown for space marines to move around within the factions of the imperium, performing tasks where it helps to be a superhuman warrior that eats guants for breakfast. Ex-Angry Marines however find it a lot harder to find employment outside of their chapter, as for example, who in their right mind would employee an angry marine to perform fine detailed investigations in the upper spires of a hive. They are however, perfectly suited for jobs in the imperium which require them to do exactly what they have always done, which is to run screaming at something and chop it to pieces.
    • A unit with this trait adds 1 to its strength and attack characteristics. In addition to this, your warlord gains the ANGRY MARINE ADEPTUS ASTARTES keywords if they did not already have these keywords.
  • Master of Hiding: Some Iratus warlords are so belligerently certain that they cannot be seen that they are able to convince their enemies that they can indeed, not be seen.
    • Attacks against made against a unit with this rule suffer a -1 to hit. In addition to this a unit with this rule adds 2 to its armour save rolls when in cover instead of 1.
  • Ex-Crazied Zealot: Some people go through phases when they were young, dyeing their hair, listening to loud music, maybe summoning up a demon or two, that kind of thing. This warlord however spent their youth dressed in rags, covered in shit, and gibbering something about the god emperor while clubbing things. Although they have since grown up (and had a wash) there is still a part of themselves that wants to grab a large, blunt object to swing above their head while looking for some excrement to smear on themselves.
    • CRAZIED ZEALOTs within 6” of a unit with this trait do no suffer casualties in the morale phase and reroll failed hit rolls. In addition to this a unit with this traits gains the CRAZIED ZEALOT keyword.
  • Eternally Hateful:
    • A unit with this trait and all friendly units within 3” of this unit may re-roll all failed wound rolls in the fight phase against your chosen faction keyword plus an additional faction keyword, instead of just when they charged, were charged or performed a heroic intervention against a single, chosen faction keyword.
  • Hotwirer Supreme:
  • Before the battle begins, you may select any IMPERIAL VEHICLE which is capable of transporting INFANTRY models, equip it with whatever weapons you choose which it is capable of taking, and then add it to your army (paying points or power points where appropriate). The vehicle looses all faction specific keywords and rules, and instead gains the OFFICIO IRATUS keyword, becomes a DEDICATED TRANSPORT unit, except that you add 1” to its movement, advance and charge distances, 2 to its wounds and attacks characteristics, and has a weapon skill of 3+ which does not degrade as it takes damage (original damage tables are ignored in regard to weapon skill). When the battle begins your warlord must be deployed inside the chosen vehicle, but after this your warlord and their chosen vehicle may as normal.

Righteous Wrath Psychic Discipline[edit]

  • Accuracy “Encouragement”

-If successfully manifested select a friendly unit within 12” of the caster. That friendly unit may add 1 to all its hit rolls until the end of your turn and ignores cover when making shooting attacks.
  • Martyr for the God Emperor:
-DEATH IS THE ONLY REST YOU FUCKING MAGGOTS WILL GET!!! NOW DON’T KEEP THE GOD EMPEROR WAITING!!!

-If successfully manifested select a friendly OFFICIO IRATUS INFANTRY unit within 18” of the caster. Roll a D6 for each model in that unit, on a roll of 6 that model it’s instantly slain, no saves allowed. However, that unit then adds 1 to its strength, movement and attack characteristics until the start of your next psychic phase.
  • Spirit of Exterminartus
-IT’S CHEAPER THAN AN ACTUAL EXTERMINARTUS BUT WITHOUT FIRING ALL THOSE FUCKING MISSILES!!!

-If successfully manifested roll a D6 for each unit on the battlefield, subtracting 1 from the value for CHARACTERS. On a 2+ that unit suffers D3 mortal wounds, on a 6+ it instead suffers D6 mortal wounds.
  • Hateful Support
-IF YOUR WANT “COUNSELLING” AND FUCKING “EMOTIONAL SUPPORT” YOU CAN JOIN THE VAGINA HEADS!!!

-If successfully manifested select an OFFICIO IRATUS PSYKERwithin 18” of the caster and roll a D3. Add the value of this roll to all psychic tests taken by the targeted OFFICIO IRATUS PSYKER until the beginning of your next psychic phase.

  • The Holy Flame:
    • This relic replaces a models flamer, heavy flamer or melta.
  • Extreme Genetic Modification:
    • Add 1 to the units strength and toughness characteristics, but subtract 1” from all their movement distances.

Iratus Master[edit]

An assassin who had managed to survive in an order of assassins long enough to reach grand master status with their group. Unfortunately (depending on your point of view) this is also an individual who lost their mind a bit and got kicked out of their order. If such individuals (even such highly skilled ones) survive in the imperium for long enough then they will be picked up by the Oficio Iratus, where they will find a group of likeminded (insane and angry) assassins, inquisitors and assorted hangers on

Oficio Iratus Inquisitor[edit]

Heresy, heresy everywhere. That is the state of the galaxy in the 42nd millennium. Entire segmentums filled with chaos worshippers, xenos, communists and FUCKING FURIES!!! Or at least that is how an inquisitor sees the galaxy, a being who has been engineered, trained and equipped to even beyond astartes levels of prepared, and then simply let loose upon the universe with a pat on the head and a vague directive to “find the heretics”.

Deranged Psyker[edit]

Reliable psykers in the 42nd millennium are in short supply. They’re needed from everything from communication, to bolstering troops, to melting the minds of their foes. As such, there is a certain hierarchy as to who gets the best psykers in the imperium, with holy terra, the inquisition and adeptus astartes getting first choice, followed by the ministorum and administratum. On this long priority list, the Iratus sit somewhere above the Angry Marines (who don’t give a shit because they get their psykers by rescuing people who are going to be executed by the inquisition) and below the Adeptus Arbites, and this level in the food chain also results in a drop in the psykers... quality.

Abilities:

  • You there! I'll be having your head next!: Badasious is very particular about the heads he takes, and is capable of picking out a single person from a crowd as his target from a mile away.
    • This model may assign damage to individual models in a target unit instead of your opponent assigning damage. In addition, this model may target CHARACTERs even if they're not the closest unit.
  • BADASS: Badasious is known for his incredible feats of badassery. So great are his skills, as well so long is his list of successes that even the Grey Knights would have difficulties in recreating what the Inquisitor is capable of doing.
    • This model may choose a warlord trait (if he is your warlord) from the angry marines codex or the Officio Iratus codex. In addition, this model re-rolls all failed hit and wound rolls, and wound rolls of 6+ against CHARACTERs deal an additional D3 mortal wounds. As a small addition, this model may use all its grenades in the shooting and overwatch phases along with its other ranged weapons.
  • Nigh-Invulnerable: Badasious has faced all manners of terrifying, army destroying weapons that would leave nothing standing no matter how durable or powerful they are, and survived to tell the tale. Is it luck, sheer stubbornness, The Emperor's grace, or a combination of all three, Badasious doesn't try to think about it. What really matters is that the enemy failed to kill him and they will pay for failing.
    • This model may only be wounded on a 3+ or worse, has a 4++ invulnerability save, ignores damage on a 5+ and all damage dealt to him is halved (rounding up).
  • Shield of Badasious: Sometimes Badasious’ raw badassnous is not enough to protect himself. In those situations he calmly puts his pistol away, and pulls out his shield and a thermos of tea, because it’s going to take a god emperor knows amount of firepower to shift him now.
    • At the beginning of your turn you may choose for this model to put away its pistol, and instead wield its shield. If so this model may not fire its pistol until your next turn when you must decide again whether or not to use the pistol or shield, but this model increases its invulnerability save to a 3++ and all models targeting this model must subtract one from their hit rolls. In addition, units which successfully charge this model or are successfully charged by this model suffer one mortal wound.

Angry Priest Dietrich, Orator of Hate[edit]

Fluff:

Dietrich is just a man. A single human in a galaxy of almost identical humans, grinding out their existence. Whether they be farmers, managers, factory workers, give gangers or cultists, most humans are almost identical. There is something that sets Dietrich out though. He hates everything. He hates xenos, choas, humans, plants, rocks, himself, even the god emperor (although that is more of a respectful hatred). He hates the young, the old, the disabled and able bodied, those with beards and those without a single hair on their bodies. It doesn’t matter who you are, Dietrich will have a reason to hate you, and he will do so with a passion which is truly awe inspiring.

Dietrich is a single model, he is armed with the Staff of FUCKING OFFICE!!! and a Double Barrelled Inferno Pistol

Commissar Annabelle Fuklaw[edit]

Fluff:

Veeta womb technology is a controversial piece of equipment in the imperium, as it uses an artificial environment in which a foetus is gestated, and is only sanctioned for use in situations where mankind needs more men to throw at a problem. Commissar Fuklaw was unaware of this technology when he was building his battle tank, the metal box of incandescent rage, and along with parts from baneblades, fighter jets, dreadnoughts and a truck load of duct tape, the elderly commissar used an entire veeta womb system as part of the fuel tanks/beer dispenser. All would have been fine however, if the colossal, battle tank hadn’t been fuelled by Fuklaw’s...liquid waste material... which contained enough of the commissars DNA for the veeta womb to splice into a single, stored egg it contained.

Fast forward to 2 years after the creation and final fuelling of the metal box of incandescent rage and Comissar Fuklaw was preparing his monstrous tank for battle on a hive world currently infested with genestealers, when he heard a noise coming from it’s transport bay. Ever aware of the threat of genestealers even in angry marine held areas the commissar loaded up his shotgun cane, readied his chainsaw and got ready to glare something to oblivion. Standing well back from the tank he remotely lowered its access ramp, shotgun trained at the slowly widening hole into the belly of his beast. But Fuklaw was not treated to the sight of genestealers pouring from the vehicle to rape him with their double jaws. Instead, he saw a small, damp form, curled up into a ball in the centre of the transport bay.

Perhaps on another day the commissar would have simply opened fire, annihilating what was most likely a trap or a chaos ploy, but for whatever reason, on the day he approached the damp form. So slimy and tightly curled up was the thing that it was only when Fuklaw’s shotgun was centimetres away from the thing that he realised that it was a child, a little girl no older in appearance than three. As if sensing the inquisitive gaze of the ancient man above her the small child raised its head, breaking free of the remains of the suspension gel which still covered her, to gaze down the barrel of the shotgun, and into the eyes of the man who held it.

And what did the two humans, one made bitter and violent from centuries of war, one fresh to the world but somehow aware beyond her years, see when they made eye contact? Nobody knows. But whatever passed between the two humans in that moment was enough to make John Fuklaw, a man who had overseen the burning of entire planets of heretics and xenos, to take off his jacket, wrap the child up in it, and carry her off to the apothecary.

For the next six years Fuklaw took the girl (who he named Annabella) everywhere him, taught her how to read and write (all in capital letters and curse words of course), piggybacked her into battle to give practical lessons on how to execute heretics, demonstrated to correct way to kick a marine in the balls through power armour and how to ride tanks and still swing a sword. Then, once she was “officially” six years old Fuklaw pulled the right strings and kicks the stubborn bollocks of the right people to get Annabella enrolled into the Ordo Prefectus despite having at least one living parent. There she learnt everything else she needed to know about being a commissar and an “encourager” if soldiers that she hadn’t already learnt from John Fuklaw, graduating top in her year (admittedly by virtue of everyone else being too terrified of her to turn up).

Since then she has been an “inspiring” presence to whatever army she has been posted with, fighting directly on the frontlines with her own, customised eviscerator chainsword, which she had been gifted to her by a ministorum battle priest after she saved his life from a rampaging group of dark eldar homunculi.
In the 41st millennium, heresy is well and truly fucked.

Commissar Annabelle Fuklaw Is a single model. She is armed with her trusty eviscerator Spleen Muncher.

    • Every time a model with this rule slays an enemy CHARACTER choose one of the following:
      • All enemy models suffer minus 1 to their leadership characteristic until the end of the phase.
      • All friendly models add 1 to their leadership characteristic until the end of the phase.
  • Daughter of John mother fucking Fuklaw: Any sire of John Fuklaw is likely to gain some of his... stubbornness.
    • This model has a 4+ invulnerability save, and ignores damage received on a 5+. In addition, if Commissar Fuklaw or The Metal Box of Incandescent Rage is also on the battlefield then adds 1 to its attack characteristic.

Troops[edit]

Angry Mob[edit]

Fluff:

The average human is surprisingly angry and capable. Look at the sieges of most hives, humans will fight viciously to protect what is there’s. Angry Mobs are simply the hordes of such serfs, hangers on, homeless, workers and meanials which swarm around and in any imperial vessels or buildings. In other factions in the imperium their tactical worth would be close to zero, being nothing more than fodder to throw against the wall that is the enemy, and that is effectively how they work for the Officio Iratus, except that these cannon fodder are a bit angrier.

An Angry Mob is made up of 10 rioters. Each one is armed with a lasgun. You may add up to 20 additional Rioters to this unit.

Iratus Storm Troops[edit]

Fluff:

No matter how augmented an inquisitor is, no matter how many guns they carry or how many ships or vehicles they have, they are only (mostly) human. And as such, wherever you find inquisitors you will find storm troopers, well armed, armoured and trained men and women who’s job it is to protect the inquisitor, carry out their orders, carry their luggage, and maybe headbutt the exterminartus button if the inquisitor is feeling particularly tired.

Sombody has the make sure that the Inquisitor doesn’t get shot.

Fluff:

These guys are everywhere. It doesn’t matter where you go in the imperium you will find crazed zealots of the imperial cult running around, spouting gibberish and generally getting in the way. Mostly, they’re just a sap on resources for the imperium as a whole, but they are tollerated because they a. Provide a suitably holy atmosphere to the vast cathedrals which can be found everywhere and b. Fight like the complete nutters they are when pointed in the direction of the imperium foes. The officio iratus is no exception in this regard, except that strict hygiene standards are enforced upon any such zealots which find their way into their ships. This has been the case ever since an Angry Evesor was dragged out of its drug induced slumber by the foetid stench of hundreds of these filthy humans (the cleanup from which took weeks to complete). This is fortunate for the Officio Iratus, as nurgle has been looking at using the disgusting humans as a means of exerting his influence, an act which could severally hindered the officio until Badasious did something about it.

ANGRY FUCKING KNIGHTS[edit]

Fluff:

One in a hundred men have what it take to become a space marine, one in a hundred space marines have what it takes to join the death watch and one in a hundred death watch marines have what it takes to become a grey knight. This works in a similar manner for the angry marines. One in a hundred men are angry enough to become an angry marine, one in a hundred angry marines are furious/fire mad/insane enough to become a black brother or a cock knocker and one in a hundred black brothers or cock knockers are livid and irate about the state of the galaxy to become... Sonething else.

The ANGRY FUCKING KNIGHTS represent the finest (and angriest outside of angry marine chain of command) the Angry Marines have to offer the galaxy. Many tales could be told of the carnifexs they fisted while naked and covered in barbecue sauce, or the size of the bowls of rusty, adamantium nails that they eat for breakfast, or the number of bloodletters they have killed just by pissing on them, but instead, the best way to illustrate their raw skill and fury, is to set out their initiation trial.

First, the candidate is taken into a large, explosion proof room, and fastened to a metre thick adamantium block with inch thick adamantium chains. Then, an object of utter hatred is placed a hundred metres away from them (for most, this will be a suit of ultramarine armour). Finally, they are given a bolt postol, and told to destroy the object of hatred. Most marines will first struggle, then unload the bolt pistol at their target (missing every shot) before finally throwing the empty pistol at the target. Only marines who can achieve one of the following are recruited however. Firstly, any marine who can rip their way out of the adamantium chains and charge the object of their hate, and secondly (the rarest of all) if they fire at the object of their hate... and hit it.
