Background[edit]
Born in one of the towns of the rural areas of the North, Silken Blossom was an intelligent, polite girl, who would be otherwise normal if not for being constantly stricken with an intense sense of wanderlust in many of her days. Fortunate enough for her, she secured a career as a courier from place-to-place, delivering packages of gifts and goods from province to province, and even occasionally carrying messages to distant places where I AM would not reach.
Things changed on one of her trips to White Valley, a delivery of some food and trinkets from one of the nearby RPCs. It was there she met a man - White Mountain - who worked in the mines of the Turning Stone Principality. He had neither time nor coin for travel, but wished to send a small locket to his unrequited love, a wealthy girl who had recently moved to Meru. This was, of course, insane. Meru, after all, would be quite a walk, and going there would cost far more than what the lovestruck man had to offer.
Blossom, of course, did it anyway. Who could turn down such romantic notions - especially when it was such an excellent excuse to go see new places? She set off on a long journey, digging deep into her pockets and asking favors from many friends as she used whatever means of transportation was available - from bus fare, to skyships, to her own two legs where required.
Three years later, a knock arrived on the door of a young mortal lady living in a small apartment of one of the Little Cities in Meru's Eclipse Archdiocese. She opened the door to be greeted by something neither of them had expected - a beautiful woman, wreathed in gold, holding out a single, small, golden locket, hung by a chain. "Delivery." "O-Oh. Thank you, M-Miss..?" "Blossom. Silken Blossom of Heaven. Have a nice day."
As Silken Blossom closed the door behind her, she was more than surprised to find a towering man, clad in golden armor and bearing a fantastically-curly mustache standing behind her. "Welcome to Meru."
Now one of the Solar Exalted, Silken Blossom has spent her last several years serving as emissary to all forms of exotic locales. She is, in part, responsible for the stable relations between Creation, Heaven, and Malfeas, regularly mingling in with everything from magnificent gatherings at the Lute to observing Malfean dance processions. Most important, and potentially, most frightening, though, is Blossom's constant obsession with the Wyld: The treacherous, unstable world of dreams, desires, and fairy-tales, beautiful Fae princes and princesses only serves to further inflame her passions, and it is far from uncommon to see her mingling with the Raksha courts. After all, she is one of the Eclipse caste - who is to say what groups she can and cannot maintain relations with?
Even in her Manse at Meru, in the Eclipse Archdiocese, Blossom strives to keep life as magnificent as possible. She regularly funds massive plays or performances for her (and others') entertainment, and spends much of her time in the city cultivating her public image as a wealthy, noble, and compassionate ruler.
This is not, of course, too far from the truth. Silken Blossom is benevolent to a fault; some might say she is a little too merciful and a little too generous at times, overly-prone to giving out large gifts for small favors and attaching herself to mortals that seem to be even the least bit interesting.
But even among the benevolent of the Sun Kings, the Great Curse must take its hold. Silken Blossom seems perpetually incontent with herself and her surroundings. Her fickle attitude leads to unpredictability, unclear intents, and more than one lover discarded from disinterest or "boredom." And after all, who is to question her? Such gifts and attentions are gifts, hers to give and take as she sees fit, things that her subjects should be grateful for..
Appearance[edit]
Silken Blossom of Heaven is a tall, fair-skinned, enchantingly beautiful woman, with long, wavy, golden hair, soft features, blue eyes, clad in a regal, silk dress, the top end clinging to her well-developed figure and large, magnificent..tracts..of..land, slowly trailing down to a magnificent, regal bustle that trails behind her. Wreathed around her body is an elegant, almost translucent sash of velvet, adding to her sense of regality. Adorning her head is an overly-elaborate crown of gold and gems, and her hands are clad in expensive and elegant gloves of pure white, ideal for complaining about getting dirty and slapping people with.

Charms[edit]
- (DPCS) Demure Carp Feint: 4m, Reflexive, C-OK. The character's movements become graceful and unpredictable, adding her Essence or +2 to all DVs, whichever is greater.
- (DPCS) Pearlescent Filigree Defense: Simple, Obvious, Scenelong. The Character's clothing takes on an iridescent sheen, adding 1L/2B soak per mote spent.
- (DPCS) Lethal Paper Fan Attack: Supplemental, C-OK, Obvious. 3m. User treats all paper fans as war fans, and sashes/sleeves/etc as seven-section staves. Actual war fans or other form weapons have their Speed, Acc, Damage, or Defense enhanced by an amount equal to the user's Essence.
- (DPCS) Dreaming Pearl Courtesan Form: 5m Simple (Speed 3), Form-Type, Obvious. The martial artist's robes and props take on a life of their own, granting the user up to (Essence) props she may use as weapons. This charm also adds the user's Martial Arts score to all Presence and Socialize rolls.
- (DPCS) Flurry of August Leaves Concentration: The user attacks an opponent with up to (Essence) available props from up to (MA x 5) yards away, rolling each prop together as a single Martial Arts attack against the opponent, calculating onslaught normally and each damage roll as separate attacks.
- (DPCS) Vindictive Concubine's Pillow Book Understanding: 3m, Supplemental, C-OK, Obvious. Supplements a martial arts attack, penetrating an amount of her opponent's armor soak equal to her (ess + MA).
- (DPCS) Fragrant Petal Fascination Kata: 10m, 1WP, Simple, Compulsion, Obvious, Indefinite. The character enters a kata as ethereal music whispers in the air and flower petals swirl about her, rolling (Charisma + MA), entrancing all those within (Essence) yards with a Dodge DV less than the exalt. Entranced targets believe anything the Exalt tells them, and entranced subjects will follow orders, regardless of Intimacies or Motivation. Subjects not entranced still suffer a hallucogenic vertigo, suffering the Exalt's essence in an internal penalty to all die pools.
Characters with a higher Essence than the artist's ignore this effect. After the scene ends, or the character's kata is interrupted, the fascination slowly wanes, suffering the user's (Essence) in a penalty to all die pools for a number of actions equal to the user's (Essence). Enraptured victims retain vague memories of what they did and suffer from a strange melancholy, imposing a -1 internal penalty to all Conviction rolls for the exalt's (Essence) in days.
- (Integrity) Integrity-Protecting Prana (Ess 1 Abil 1): 5m/1WP, C-OK, Reflexive, Lasts one day. User protects themselves from any Shaping effect that alters her mind, body, or spirit.
- (Integrity) Second Integrity Excellency
- (Integrity) Temptation-Resisting Stance (Ess 1 Abil 2): Reflexive, C-OK, Stackable, Social. Increases the character's DDV by her Temperance for the scene, may use other Virtues with appropriate motivation/stunting.
- (Integrity) Elusive Dream Defense (Ess 2 Abil 4): Reflexive, C-OK, Social, Instant. Character creates or reinforces an appropriate Intimacy in response to mental influence, perfectly defending against it. This intimacy remains for the duration of the story, and is inviolate.
- (Performance) Second Performance Excellency
- (Performance) Heart-Compelling Method (Ess 2 Abil 4): 6m, Supplemental, C-OK, Emotion, Social, Scenelong. Supplements a Performance roll to rouse emotion in others, exerting UMI over all present and costing 2WP to resist.
- (Performance) Husband-Seducing Demon Dance (Ess 3, Abil 5): 10M, 1WP, Simple (Speed 6), C-OK, Emotion, Obvious, Social. Character rolls (Cha or Manip+Perf), adding her Appearance in bonus dice to exert UMI over all who observe her performance. Characters with lower MDV than the rolled successes instantly fall in love with the solar or something she represents. This effect is UMI and costs 2 willpower to resist. Once this effect is in place, it is a commitment effect, and affected targets must spend 1 willpower in each scene in which they deliberately attempt to shake it off.
- (Presence) Second Presence Excellency (Ess 1 Abil 1)
- (Presence) Presence Essence Flow: Presence excellencies no longer count as charm use.
- (Presence) Irresistible Salesman Spirit (Ess 2 Abil 4): Supplemental, C-Basic, Social. Doubles the Solar's successes on a roll to make a bargain or encourage an action, doubling successes on the roll before MDV.
- (Presence) Enemy-Castigating Solar Judgement (Ess 3 Abil 1): Supplemental, C-OK, Holy, Obvious, Social. Causes Physical attacks to deal Aggrivated damage to Creatures of Darkness, and halves the MDV's of Creatures of Darkness against Social attacks and treats them as UMI.
- (Presence) Searing After-Image Passion (Ess 5 Abil 5): Permanent. The Solar empowers a single emotion, intimacy, or motivation, causing any social attacks inspiring or furthering that passion to require an additional 2 Willpower to resist. Only one passion may be chosen at a time, but 1XP may be spent to switch this Charm to a new one. Current Emotion: Love.
- (Resistance) Ox-Body Technique x2. (Ess 1, Abil Varies): -1/-2/-2 versions.
- (Dodge) Shadow Over Water (Ess 1 Abil 3): 1m, Reflexive, C-OK, Instant. User ignores all penalties to DDV.
- (Dodge) Seven Shadow Evasion (Ess 2 Abil 4): 3m, Reflexive, C-OK, Obvious, instant. Perfect dodge. Compassion flaw.
- (Bureaucracy) Second Bureaucracy Excellency
- (Bureaucracy) Speed the Wheels (Ess 2, Abil 3): 8m, Simple (Dramatic), C-OK. Character rolls Charisma+Bureaucracy, Difficulty 1 and subtracting any opponents' (Int+Bure/2) as successes from that roll to divide the time needed for an organization to begin a project by (Essence + 1).
- (Bureaucracy) Insightful Buyer Technique (Ess 1, Abil 3): Supplemental, C-OK, Social. Supplements an action to buy or sell something wisely, giving a solar perfect knowledge of the the relevant markets, overcoming all penalties from scarcity, volatile markets, or other trade barriers.
- (Linguistics) Sagacious Reading of Intent (Ess 1 Abil 1): 3m, Reflexive, C-OK, Social. Gains a one-sentence summary as to the intent behind a single statement, perfectly defends against social attacks hostile to the Exalt's motivation.
- (Socialize) Second Socialize Excellency
- (Socialize) Taboo Inflicting Diatribe (Ess 2 Abil 3): Simple, C-OK, Compulsion. User spends several hours within the last month encouraging or discouraging a desired attitude toward accepting or rejecting a certain behavior, rolling (Cha or Manip + Socialize) with a penalty equal to the group leader's MDV and subtracting its Magnitude as successes. If successful, that social group accepts that taboo or fad into its policy, and must spend 10 Loyalty, at most 1 per week to break free from such effects. Splinter groups of Magnitude 1 or higher must also accept this fad or taboo, following the same rules to break free from the Compulsion.
- (Socialize) Venemous Whispers Technique (Ess 3 Abil 5): Simple, C-OK, Touch. The Solar must touch with a target group or individual's position, rolling (Cha or Manip + Socialize) to undermine its position. If successful, the target puts their worst foot forward in all social situations, subtracting the user's Essence from all Social rolls for the next day, and must spend 1 Willpower per scene to resist, and counts as unnatural influence.
- (Appearance) Third Appearance Excellency: Allows rerolls, doubles value of Attribute for duration of action.
- (Appearance) Perfect Symmetry: For the duration of the scene, the user gains an air of perfection, doubling the maximum bonus or penalty she from Appearance differences. At essence 6, this limit is removed altogether.
