Intro[edit]

Lead by the flamboyant Captain Edward 'Smoky' D'Jure, this small crew of salty fellows came to Mordhiem in poverty. D'Jure had recently lost a lot of their savings to rigged dice (his own) and rallied the despondent crew that he has heard from a friend of a friend's sister's brother's uncles stableboy of a city ripe for the pickings for brave and noble treasure seekers, called "Mordhiem". Following a scrawled map, the Crew set sail for the city. But, no city of gold awaited them, but a blasted smokey city, where the sound of fighting and gunfire was omnipresent. Still, Captain D'Jure's boundless optimism has lead them the weigh anchor and begin looting the city for all of it's worth. YAR HAR HAR HAR!

Heroes[edit]

Captain Edward 'Smoky' D'Jure[edit]

Originally from the proud merchant family D'Jure of Nuln, Edward had a fascination with firearms from an early age. Cursed as the 5th son of 6 son family, not the inheritor but not pampered like his 2 month younger brother, he took up a life of getting shot at by snubbed university students and angry husbands or brothers. After blowing one too many brains out, he was forced to flee Nulun. Using his duel winnings to buy himself a boat and some cannons and cobbled himself a crew together. Now, 15 years later, he sails the seas looking for fame, fortune and women. He earned the nickname 'Smoky' from the constant smell of gunpowder that follows him constantly. He is very much over 5 feet tall, his bread and moustache blackened with gunpowder, with a long leather coat and the dirty remains of a fine silk shirt. He wears a large, feathered, broad brimmed hat, which conceals a steel skull-cap. He recently added a wyrdstone brooch, to show off his Crew's treasure hunting ability. A strong Nulnian accent still hangs around his speech. His collection of dueling pistols, hidden in various holsters about his person, is his pride and joy, an heirloom from a simpler life. He's named each one.

Parrot: (-1 to hit for all in base contact) - 15gc Jack the Parrot isn't too pleased about his lot in life. Originally a pampered pet of the barkeeper of the Bear and Fish, he was recently bought for a quick sum by some fancy talking pirate. Now he finds himself in a dark city, full of danger. He desperately wants to leave, but the dandy is the only guy around who feeds Jack crackers when he asks, so he sees it as an investment to keep him alive long enough to be traded away or fly off.

First Mate 'Pork Belly' Johnstone[edit]

A found by D'Jure in some seedy port somewhere, Old Pork Belly Acted as the Ship's Cook, as well as First Mate, since the inception of The Smoking Dog. When D'Jure needed someone hitting, Pork Belly was there with his Tenderiser and Cleaver to sort them out. He finds D'Jure's youthful optimism refreshing from the Sea-bitten seadogs he's used to. He's the real power behind the throne, but admits that his Captain's ability to fill a man full of holes at 100 paces to be a vital skill.

Gunner 'Spider Legs'[edit]

Spider Legs was recruited after being found climbing down The Smoking Dog's mast one morning, saying he had slept there for the night. Instead of beating the man and throwing him overboard, D'Jure recruited him as a Gunner, with his very own Handgun. The loyalty this gesture earned has seen Spider Legs through thick and thin and now he hopes to be first in line when The Smoking Dog's luck turns up.

Gunner 'No Teeth' Jimmy[edit]

Jimmy take a dim view of dental hygiene. He frequently (and fragrantly) expresses the opinion that "If they ain't strong 'nough ta handle a few months at sea, they ain't worth havin'!" As such, he has a total of four teeth, although their ability to bite into an onion like a apple isn't to be sniffed at. In fact, sniffing in general around Jimmy is a bad move, thanks to the mounds of what used to be teeth that populate his mouth. Because of this, he was placed on Gunner duty.

Gunner 'Sweatshop' Gumbone[edit]

Hardworking, keen-eyed and ready to do any type of heavy lifting, Gumbone's work ethic is only soured by his own stench. The man sweats like a horse and smell like their droppings. In fact, his leathers have said to be even tougher than his fellows, having been subject to his affliction for years. Gumbone prides himself on always being ready to work at a moment's notice, which includes always being dressed. Always. It's no surprise that him and Jimmy are good friends.

Crewman 'Batshit' Hammerton[edit]

Ugly, drunk and furious, Hammerton has been too crazy to desert, as of yet. Nothing is known about his past or how he was recruited. He just appeared one day on the deck and nobody has seen any point in questioning his existence. He seems to know his place on a ship and keeps himself to himself, except to grab his share of any booze acquired. And, when The Smoking Dog made it's landing in Mordhiem, he suddenly seem to have himself some weaponry. Some of the Crew silently hope Batshit will prove his latent psychotic tendencies in battle.

Crewman 'Woodsaw' Bojangles[edit]

After returning victorious from a skirmish with Van Helsing's Avengers, The Crew heard a loud sawing noise coming from the Brig. Investigating, they discovered the sleeping Crewman Bojangles, still locked in the Brig for pissing from the mast. He was woken up, given some weapons and ordered to fight alongside Batshit. If this is punishment or a boon, giving Batshit's fighting ferocity, remains to be seen.
