Warband Rating: 142
Treasury: 36 gc
Wyrdshards: 2
Stored Equipment: Sword, Halfling Cookbook
Overview[edit]
When the Grand Theogonist ordered Witch Hunters to the ruined city of Mordheim, Heinrich Lictor was ecstatic. In his long years of service to the Empire he had always known of the horrors of heresy and witchcraft. Yet now, in this time of reckoning, he was being tasked with retrieving of wyrdstone for the Temple of Sigmar. Lictor thought that was a very wise edict. After all, wyrdstone would be worth much to the church. They would be sure to reward him very handsomely for its recovery.
Using the stipend allotted to him by the Temple, Heinrich Lictor convinced other witch hunters to join him in his greedy adventure. They bought dogs to join them, who complain far less about 'morals' and 'logic.' The rabble-rousing of the Witch Hunters has also convinced madmen to join them in their hunt for wyrdstone (And heretics, of course).
They named their alliance, "The Association of Righteousness." They would use the holy edicts to the most flexible interpretations, which is whatever is most convenient.

Leader of the Assocation of 'Righteousness,' he seeks to use his warband to find wyrdstone for the Temple of Sigmar. Despite his almost fanatical loyalty to the Temple, Heinrich Lictor is far more greedy than he is willing to admit. Heinrich is the type of witch hunter who enjoys the ends a bit more than the means. Especially when the ends make him rich. Like every other Witch Hunter, Heinrich is happy to burn heretics for Sigmar and does not suffer from a lack of experience like other members of the Association. Using his charisma and wealth, he formed a warband to go and retrieve wyrdstone in Sigmar's name.

Brother to Hans, the pair joined the Association with Heinrich as his first recruits. They became witch hunters by the insistence of their father, who was also a witch hunter. They share his fervence for burning heretics and hatred for magic users. The pair lack experience but are positive they will learn much more in Mordheim. Far more than they reckoned, most likely.
Frederick is the more assertive of the pair. He is very direct in dealing with investigation, often barging into homes or shops under the slightest suspicion of witchcraft. It has been remarked by more than one person, Hans included, that this will lead to a rather short life as a witch hunter.

Hans has a subtle mind for investigation. He does not see a heretic around every corner, like his brother, and prefers a silent approach towards the investigation of witchcraft. His reasoning is that chaos should not know it has been revealed until its practicioners are already tied to the stake.

Skill Lists:
Like his name suggests, John is very handsome. He is unusual among his Order in that he lacks distinctive facial scarring and a constant scowl. He grooms himself a bit too much for a hunter of heretics which has led to some questions being asked about John, but these have never gone anywhere. His good looks only make him more terrifying when he smiles as a witch burns.

Skill Lists:
A priest of Sigmar, he has spent most of his life in service to the Temple. Markson joined the Association to hunt down heretics and spread the word of Sigmar. He is entirely aware of the greedy ways of Heinrich Lictor, which he believes violates the edicts of the witch hunters, but cannot make any moves against him overtly. Instead, Markson travels with the group to ensure they are doing their job and finding wyrdstone for Sigmar's temple. Should they begin to falter in their duty, Markson is prepared to deliver them to the church. He has seen the benefits of cooperating in the vast and dangerous city of Mordheim.

Named for his constant stuttering, he was a shopkeep's assistant before the shop was burned down for selling the instruments of witchcraft. He was tried by the witch hunters and was actually found innocent. His boss was not so lucky. Ignorant of the workings of chaos, he left home and encountered the Association on his way to Mordheim. He now seeks to do Sigmar's work.
Notable Moments[edit]
Your Dead[edit]
3 Loyal Hounds: Vicious, Nanny and Chuckles
1 Fanatic, Gerard
Record[edit]
Game 1 vs The Excellent Company of Count de Vries, Wyrdstone hunt. Defeat! Gained 117 gc. Thanks to the Blessings of Sigmar, we didn't lose anyone. Kept a cool head and went for the objective. Getting annihilated in combat, so chose to retreat. They were too strong for us to fight but we got a huge profit from the spoils.
Game 2 vs Kirsch and Sons Expedition, Occupy. Victory! Gained 69 gc. Combat was absolutely brutal and wildly varied. Great shooting from the Expedition killed three hounds before we even got to them. We charged their stationary position on all sides and began to make nasty work. It looked like the battle would go against us for a while, and their leader (Who was obviously under the influence of Chaos) refused to be moved. They eventually retreated after combat turned against them but one of their own lay dead, his throat slashed by Heinrich.
...Exerpt from the journal of the Witch Hunter, Heinrich Lictor: "It has been many days since our battle against those foul mercs from Marienburg and we have spent most of our time recovering new hounds. I can still feel a touch of pleasure on my blade where I cut that boy's throat in vengance. I do not feel pity or remorse for it serves him rightly for fighting the agents of Sigmar while driven mad by greed. Ours is a holy mission for the temple and they are just roaming about while trying to make a coin. The very thought of it does make me sick."
Game 3 vs Kung Foo Rat Attack, Skirmish. Victory! Gained 54 gc. It seemed that our most Blessed Sigmar smiles upon us again, for nobody was lost in the battle. The whole combat was settled in melee, with the Association being charged down by ratfolk from the rooftops. The Association stood strong and had to be rallied twice, but in the end, the skaven fled first.
...An interview with the Witch Hunter, Frederick Ansor, whose testimony was written and submitted by Marcus Doril of the Order of the Templars of Sigmar as part of the 'Lictor Report': "Yes. I mean no. Of course I've heard of skaven but everyone knows they're just mutants. (Frederick spits onto the floor. I shall ask him of the fight near the docks.) Not one of our best moments but we all lived through it. Saw them while they were arguing over something stupid and the Captain called us to arms at once. My job was to sit on a wrecked loading crane, them Empire wench models, yeah? So its to sit up there and shoot whatever the Captain points at. Well he was just pointing at everything with his pistol so me and my brother decided to shoot them all. The troop was moving up but I saw them muties crawling over the rooftops. I called out to captain and they tried to retreat. The rats got them first. Fought like daemons they did. We was doing our job of course. I shot one in the eye, there's no way it lived. The fight was going bad, with dogs dropping at every direction and when that crazy Norman and Markson went down, I knew we were in trouble. (I remind him of the issue. I ask him what Heinrich Lictor was doing) I'm getting to that (He grows aggressive. I shall remind him of his circumstances). Virtues and all, brother. (He has paused) I had half a mind to scurry out down the river but Captain was a whirlwind of combat. I don't know how, but he just kept moving and screaming for us to 'fight like men,' you know? He was terrifying. I remember him yelling, "If you bastards run I'll feed you to the hounds!" Just scary, you know? The muties yipped and started stinking real bad all the sudden before they just up and ran. Captain was shouting at them to come back for ten minutes before he finally cooled off. (Subject stop speaking. I inquire.) He saved our necks in Mordheim. You're idiots if you think (I have ended this interview).
