Not the kind of lava cake you wish to meet on a dining table

"V: Sienna, I believe it would help your trial if you showed intent to go back to the College. Are there really none there who hold your respect?
S: Gormann, perhaps. And we all know what happened to him, don't we?
V: A wizard's duel, wasn't it?
S: Gelt cheated. A Gold Wizard always knows how to place a bribe."

Sienna Fuegonasus & Victor Saltzpyre

Before there was gold, there was fire. Before there was a certain moola-waving bilk, there was a seven feet tall, ballsy, sword-swinging, firebolt-blasting wizard. Little is known about Thyrus Gormann, but before the arrival of Balthazar Gelt, the pyromancer used to be the Supreme Patriarch of the Empire's Colleges of magic. Gormann remained in his office for at least three periods, much to the dismay of other candidates who left the duelling hall with nasty scorches and bruised egos. Alas, after decades of torching competitors and burning his initials in the Empire's enemies armies, a young magician with a bounty on his head arrived in Altdorf and challenged the Supreme Patriarch. After some serious scarfing and lead-throwing, Gormann was defeated. Not dead, but incapacitated, the fire-wizard surrendered and stepped back from his office. Despite no longer holding the office of Supreme Patriarch, Gormann still is a trusted advisor to the Emperor Karl Franz. He has mixed feelings about the challenger who defeated him - Balthazar Gelt - respecting his ability but eager to challenge him again and take back his position.

The End Times

Not much is mentioned about our fiery boi, as he is said to have “mysteriously disappeared”. Given that the planet is fucked, it’s safe to say he is no longer with us.

Age of Sigmar

OR IS IT?, It turns out our fire mage may have been resurrected as one of Sigmar's Stormcast Eternals as a member of the Hallowed Knights Stormhost going by the name Tyros Firemane (now keep in mind that the oldest of the members of the Stormcast Eternals use nicknames because they cannot remember their past lives), having developed a kind of friendship with the also resurrected Balthasar Gelt (now going by Balthas Arum) in a very heartwarming rivals-gone-friends trope.

Now while most Lord-Arcanum's (SE Wizards) are just attuned to the Winds of Azyr, some of them actually expand their mystic abilities to other winds, or, in the case of Tyros and Balthas, are reborn with those abilities learned, almost like the respective winds recognize them from eras past, in the case of Tyrus this is obviously the red wind of Aqshy.
