Making Khorne Berserkers look like a bunch of fucking pansies.

Butchers are leaders of a Corpse Grinder cult gang and is second only in rank to a Harvest Lord and equivalent of a sergeant.

Overview

Butchers as aforementioned, are the leaders of the Corpse Grinder Cults gang. They are some of the best close combat fighters on Necromunda as they just RIP AND TEAR their way through everyone's assholes. These dollar-store Jakhals are so good they can even best the most ferocious fighters from House Goliath, so make sure that you tool them up and get them stuck in as quickly as possible and let'em rip.

Due to their high ranking, Butchers wear and carry the best equipment the cult can offer from the Corpse Guild. They wear some form of heavily protected mail armour, which behaves a bit like goddamn Carapace Armour and carry every single brutal CQC weapon you can think off. This includes Chainswords, Chainaxes, Chain Cleavers, Heavy Chain Cleavers, Boning Swords, Butcher's Cleavers, Chain Glaives, both Fighting and Flensing Knives, Axes, Heavy Rock Cutters, and a Rotary Flensing Saw. For range they are not completely helpless, they can also carry Hand Flamers, Autopistols, Flamers, Heavy Flamers and a Harpoon Launcher. They can also take Frags and Krak Grenades for some added range oomph and wear some sort of plated carapace armour for protection.

Crunch

On Necromunda, Butchers - like Cutters - are brutal Khorne Berserker-lite CQC monsters thanks to having the excellent Terrifying rule via their masks, as well as improved armour. This requires a Willpower check from your opponent before shooting or fighting against them. This won’t always protect you, but given how many steps of failure there are in Necromunda when attacking someone, it’s an incredibly strong boost to their survivability.

It can also be very rage-inducing for your opponents, especially if they are playing Goliaths or Slave Ogryns, who will really struggle to act directly against these models. Note that template and blast weapons, which don’t target models directly, will ignore this check. Given their powerful rule, their excellent armour and melee stats, and their improved charge movement, combined with the fact they can’t even carry ranged weapons, Butchers are clearly just here to charge into close combat to let loose. Just becareful not to get gunned down, as he is a priority target and the first to get fucking sniped.
