| The home of the halflings. This area is pretty much a no-go zone, even for the Clock itself. Halflings are a race of psychopathic cannibals with a bizarre fetish for sophistication. They love being sophisticated and will do anything to be more sophisticated. It has been known for halflings to fight to the death over a simple top hat or a cane. The Sewers & Slums constantly filter out all sorts of filth that drains out into the Cesspool of the 7th Layer. All the filth from the other Layers goes to the Sewers & Slums. Through these tunnels and these shafts, the halflings have access to every Layer from the 1st to the 7th and it is never known exactly when they will strike.
