UNICRON THE EATER OF WORLDS HAVE ARRIVED!

Not much is known about the fleets from the Leagues of Votann other than the fact that they like to break apart planets - Dead Space-style - and are really, REALLY big and really, REALLY scary, with their spacecraft tending to be enormous in size, firepower, and build. It is telling that the Battleship-sized Strongholds are considered as 'small ships' and even these smaller vessels would match most races' Cruisers for armoured bulk, shielding, and firepower. Although, keep in mind their fleets are not designed for warfare. In war, this would be extremely wasteful and prevent defending your territory while attacking effectively.

Each vessel of the Kin is commanded by a Voidmaster - a captain skilled in every aspect of spacefaring and often augmented towards these. Each is supported by Ironkin Wayfinders who have the ability to navigate the Warp much in the way of Imperial Navigators.

When navigating the Imperium, Kin vessels utilize electromagnetic scoops to power hydrogen ramjets that - while not the swiftest means of propulsion - are arranged in such clever profusion as to render Kin ships balletic, despite their huge size. Some weaponry utilized by Leagues vessels includes Conversion Beam batteries and Drill Torpedos while they commonly utilized Weavefield Projectors for protection.

For Warp travel, the Kin are equally steady in their approach. They utilize Warp Drives and Gellar Field generators of superior design and reliability than any Human counterpart. Aided by Ironkin Wayfinders, their vessels tend to make short, controlled jumps during which the Kin may take the time to harvest energetic skeins from within the Immaterium, or even board Space Hulks for salvaging. Despite their superior Warp Drive designs reliability and accuracy, long-distance Warp travel is slower than that of Humanity.

The 'largest' of the mainline Squat ships that we know of, except of course, 'large' being a relative term as they are considered as 'small vessels' for the Leagues. Strongholds are commonly seen by the Imperium acting as the League's foremost Prospector fleets; exploring, trading, mining and surveying for new planets to rip apart. They are also rather infamously linked to their services with the Tau Kor'Vattra, albeit only for Squats known as the Demiurg. They are powerful warships equipped with boarding devices, lasers that can melt through ship hulls with ease, and also work as a very nifty merchant transport and mining vessel. Bastions will often have a single Demiurg Brotherhood inside it, with a Stronghold of Demiurg typically making up 2 or more vessels.

Nebula-class ship:

Bastion: The smaller kid brother of the Stronghold. The Bastion is the other Squat ship that is often seen forming as the main skeleton of a Prospector fleet. These smaller ships act as vanguard to the larger Strongholds and often assist in helping them rip apart smaller celestial bodies like asteroids or comets for mining purposes.

Comet-class scout ship:

In Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 1 & 2

The two Squat ships which is the Stronghold and Bastion is unique within the Tau Kor'Vattra in that they are the ONLY ONES capable of launching assault boats. Yes, you would expect the more melee-focussed Kroot Warspheres to be the ones with the assault boats right? Anyways because of this, these Squat mining ships will prove to be quite important for Tau players interested in to have more boarding capability options. Likewise, the Cutting Beam gifts both these ships a really nasty shotgun-esque surprise as it just slices through voidshields and armour like cheese. Additionally, both the Stronghold and Bastion has an impressive amount of health, making them incredibly tanky in the process. The only major flaw is that they are slow as molasses, which makes them vulnerable to Nova Cannons or ramming. They are also pretty fucking expensive, there are not much ships you can buy even with max points.
