The 7699 MT-101 Armoured Drilling Unit Lego Mars Mission Set Er-hum! The Sagitaur ATV is an all-terrain wheeled vehicle made and used by the Leagues of Votann. And, as the resounding memes suggest, looks more like something ripped straight out of a Lego Mars Mission set piece.
Overview[edit]
Akin to an IFV like the Space Marine Razorback. The Sagitaur is a redoubtable rapid-response vehicle designed for surveying inhospitable alien terrain and can carry a full squad of infantry.
They usually operate in pairs and are remarkably heavily armed for their size, which includes a nose-mounted twin Bolt Cannons, along with a swivelling turret weapon - such as a HYLas Beam Cannon, a Sagitaur Missile Launcher (With accompanying L7 Missile Launcher making one-half of the weapon system) or a MATR Autocannon. Sagitaurs are also suited to scouting operations and lightning-fast armoured offensives alongside Hernkyn Pioneers. Plus their armoured carapaces are durable enough to shrug off everything from rockslides to plasma blasts, making them an ideal spearhead for any of the Leagues of Votann's sponsored colonization efforts.
Crunch[edit]
On the tabletop, like the fluff suggests, they are the Squat's space marine razorback that comes in squads of up to 2. Its toughness of 7, 9 wounds, and 3+ armour save leave it on the slightly more fragile side, even with Void Armour. The Sagitaur can carry up to five infantry models, but no Exo-armour or exo-frames. If you take two, you can split a 10-model unit of Hearthkyn Warriors or Chthonian Beserks between them, providing a pseudo-combat squad effect.
In terms of its primary weapons, there are a few:
- Its normal loadouts is the HYLas Beam Cannon (24" 2 shot, S 9, AP -3, d6 damage, beam) and a Twin Bolt Cannon (36" 6 shot, Strength 6, Ap -2, 2 damage). Overall, not bad and quite balance and versatile in terms of dealing with both infantry and vehicles.
- The flexible L7 Missile Launcher (30", either 1 shot, strength 9, AP -2, d6 damage or 1d6 shots, strength 5, AP -1, 1 damage, blast). Also comes with the longer-range Sagitaur Missile Launcher (36" 2 shot, strength 10, AP -3, 3 damage).
- The high rate-of-fire MATR Autocannon (24" 6 shot, Strength 7, AP-2, 2 damage).
Trivia[edit]
- According to Lexicanum, the name Sagitaur could be inspired by Sagittarius (as in the mythological half-human and half-horse centaur and an astrological sign), or maybe be a portmanteau of Sagittarius and centaur or taurus (another astrological sign and mythological figure).

You know what's sadder? GeeDubs modelling prices would still somehow be cheaper than the actual models from Lego.
