Your Dudes playing a game of Pretend.

Cult-Stalkers are specialized agents of the Adeptus Arbites and, in terms of role-playing capabilities, the ultimate Your Dudes in terms of sheer weapons variety.

Overview[edit]

Acting as specialists operating under an Arbites Judge, Cult-Stalkers are usually criminal elements from various worlds who have been recruited by the Arbites to infiltrate a Cult. Most are unwilling, but some rare Cult-Stalkers are known to be genuinely loyal to the Emperor. Due to their (Presumed) high-levels of Pretend, their infiltration capabilities are pretty nifty. Great against exposing Chaos Cultists, although Genestealer Cults can prove to be a bit harder given the latter's psychic senses.

Cult-Stalkers are armed and armoured with whatever they are able to equip themselves with. So there is no standardisation. Hell, they may even infiltrate by wearing nothing more than literal t-shirts. This may be more important than you will think, as you would most likely stand-out horribly if you were wearing head-to-toe in Carapace Armour for example.

Due to their roles in infiltration and their criminal backgrounds, they aren't the most well-armed as well. Usually, at the very least, they can arm themselves with a Stub Gun, Bolas, a Sling, Handbows, Shotgun Pistols, Hand Cannons, Sawn-Off Shotguns, Needle Pistols, Bolt Launchers or Flintlock Pistols for self-defence. If they want something a bit bigger but still don't stand-out, they can carry a Musket, a Blunderbuss, a Bow, Crossbows, Pump-Action Shotguns, Stub Rifles or Longrifles. Very rarely, do they get heavier/specialised weapons such as a Belasco Galvian Needler, Heavy Crossbow or a Rocket Propelled Grenade Launcher.

Cult-Stalkers that are situated in Necromunda, can carry some of the higher-tech/rare weapons exclusive from whatever respective house they hailed from such as a Stub Cannon, Assault Grenade Launcher, Rad Cannon, Magna-Needle Mk.X Pattern Pistol, Ultra-Needle Mk.IX Pattern Pistol, Stub Gun-Plasma Combi-Pistol, Krumper Rivet Cannon, Suppression Laser, Laser Gauntlet, Flechette Pistol, Web Spinner, Storm-Welder, Harpoon Launcher or a Chem-Thrower for range. For melee, they can arm themselves with a Shock Stave, Shock Whip, Chainsaw, Chain Cleaver, Pulverizers, Servo Claws or a Monomolecular Sword.

Seeing from their diverse range of arms, their armoury really depends on what world they are recruited from and what type of cult best suits their infiltration purposes. If you want to LARP as a Cult-Stalker, feel free to do so as their random criminal backgrounds from bum-fuck nowhere makes them really flexible. Again, you can even burrow some unit from Necromunda and turn them into a Cult-Stalker and it wouldn't even break Fluff.
