==History==
Evermeet got is start back in the distant past, thousands of years before present day, when a bunch elves decided to create a perfect and safe homeland for themselves. Their [[wizards]] decided that the best way to achieve this was to literally summon a piece of [[Arvandor]] and anchor it to the [[Prime Material Plane|Toril]]. [[Fail|It didn't work as well as they wanted it to]], and although they succeeded in bringing a chunk of Arvandor to Toril, the ritual split the continents apart and killed an untold amount of people. Realizing how bad they fucked up, the isle was left to just stay there in the ocean and no elf went anywhere near it.

Several thousand years then passed until older elves suddenly got the urge to head west to the sea. Some of their relatives made the journey along with them and settled down on the island, leading to its current population. When the [[Spellplague]] hit, Evermeet was unmoored from Toril and ended up in the [[Feywild]]. As of the [[The Sundering]], Evermeet kinda, sorta returned, being now somewhere between Toril, Arvandor, and Feywild, and access only being possible with a ship piloted by an elf who has been to Evermeet before, though they can mess up and end up stranded in the [[Astral Plane]]. Elves from other worlds have also apparently started arriving here.
