Minnenewah are a race invented for the Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition setting of Anchorome, a pre-Columbian North America-inspired subsetting of the Forgotten Realms. The quick and dirty way to describe them is as First Nations-flavored Spirit Folk.

In all seriousness, Minnenewah are a race of Native American-like people whose ancestors hail from a place in the Outer Planes that they revere as the Spirit Realm, but who were physically transported to the Forgotten Realms by a Great Spirit called "Thunderbird", after which they scattered and broke up into many tribes that pursue their own unique cultures and lives to this day. While each Minnenewah tribe retains its own unique way of contacting their ancestral spirits or even entering the Spirit Realm themselves, they are mostly distinguished from the pureblooded humans of Anchorome by certin innate mystical traits.

So far, only two Minnenewah tribes have been detailed; the Chic'Epona, who worship the Great Spirit Epona, Mother of Horses, and are the master equestrians of Anchorome, and the Haud'aunee, who worship a zaratan (a giant tortoise-like elemental) that they call Ulanawa.
