-After Action Report: Ikari Incident

-Area of Combat: Greater Boston

-Year/Month: 20xx/xx

-Participating Parties: Units 10-13; Nerv Defense Forces; Units 00-02; Japan Self Defense Forces.

-Projected Casualties (MAGI): Elevated

-Actual Casualties: Elevated

On XXX XX, 20XX, at 9am, Commander Ramsey placed the base on Yellow Alert, with a warning of attack by conventional forces and Evangelions. At 2pm, a fleet of jet aircraft were detected over the Atlantic. Units 10-13 and ground and air forces were deployed in a defensive formation.

The enemy, identified as the Japanese Self Defense Forces, airdropped infantry platoons and tanks directly into the south side of Boston. Units 00 and 01 were dropped with the ground forces, while Unit 02's drop pod was damaged by missile fire; the Unit landed on the north side of the city.

Unit 02 immediately charged at Unit 12; evidently the pilots had an ongoing conflict. Unit 11 moved to support Unit 12 and engaged Unit 02 with a Prog Knife in a protracted knife fight which lasted until Unit 02 attempted to disengage, evidently to go for an Umbilical. Unit 11 took advantage of the opening to disable Unit 02. Unit 02's pilot recovered; severely wounded. Units 11 and 12 returned to the GeoFront.

Units 10 and 13 were directed to engage Units 00 and 01 respectively, but Unit 01 withdrew, so both Boston Evas engaged Unit 00. An airstrike fell directly on them. Unit 00 was destroyed, Unit 13 was severely damaged but still functional; Unit 10 seemed unaffected.

Unit 01 then attempted to reengage with Units 10 and 13. Unit 10 disabled the Eva with a blow to the head; however, plug failed to eject. Unit 13 manually removed the plug and returned it to the GeoFront.

At this time, an infiltration team was noted entering the GeoFront. From this point forward, I was unable to observe or issue direct commands to the pilots; bridge was fortified against assault. Commander Ikari, Operations Director Katsuragi, and four armed soldiers stormed the main bridge. Security personnel opened fire. At this point it became apparent that Commander Ikari was no longer wholly human; his arm showed severe mutations, and he possessed a red-pattern A.T. Field.

Commander Ramsey provided me and himself with syringes and directed me to use it, as he did so. I did. Commander Ikari then did something, and Sgt. McClane turned into puddle of goo.

Unit 11 arrived back at the GeoFront first, and intervened in the combat. She set up her Eva's hand as a barrier between Nerv security forces and the invaders. At this time, evidently in response to McClane's demise, Commander Ramsey appeared to lose his shit and shot up with about a half dozen vials he kept in his desk.

Unit 11 then crushed all invading forces against the wall of the bridge, but she reported that Commander Ikari had not been killed and was heading down an elevator shaft to Terminal Dogma. Commander Ramsey appeared to be exhibiting Angel-like qualities and followed Commander Ikari down the shaft. At this point I was unable to further observe the battle, but it was reported to me that Unit 11 opened the shaft wide enough for Unit 12 to fire his Heavy Bolter down it. Unit 11 reported that Ikari's A.T. Field vanished, but Ramsey's was still present. Rescue teams dispatched.

Commander Ramsey was recovered and the antidote was administered; however, his severe injuries required that I step in as acting-Commander until he recovers.

Note to self: Change keycodes on blast doors.

[Any idea what the fuck happened to McClane? -Rashiid]<br\> [Looks like Ikari forced McClane's Ego Barrier to collapse; the goo was LCL. In theory, any Angel could do it. Iruel did, in fact. People-scale Angels are bad news, buddy. -Harvey] <br\> [And the syringe? - Rashiid] <br\> [Angel blood. Shoulda given you a minor blue-pattern A.T. field, protect you against becoming a puddle. -Harvey]<br\> [My office. Now. -Rahiid]
