Success: Sense sin within two yards per success. Morality 7+ does not ping, 6-5 is mild sensation, 4-3 is moderate sensation, 2-1 is strong sensation, 0-N/A is overwhelming sensation that causes -1 to all actions. Lingering sins: Morality 4 threshold acts register as mild for a few days, 3 as moderate for a few months, 2 as strong for 1-6 years, 1 as overwhelming nigh permanently. Marmalade knows the source, but not the nature, of the sins he detects.
Exceptional Success: If Marmalade gets 5+ successes on one roll, he gets a general sense of a target's most severe sin or the nature or a lingering sin.

Dramatic Failure: Failure to transform, but still get penalties.
Failure: Nothing happens.
Success: Take one lethal, become demon hobo. May assign [Castigation dots] dots to Physical Attributes that can push them above five. Size increases by one, gain two armor, and Marmalade can spend willpower to heal wounds on a one-to-one basis regardless of type. Also, Marmalade's demon form invokes a Lunacy-like effect. Can only stay in the form for Stamina+Castigation turns per day. Any damage over normal health boxes when the form ends zaps the last thing Marmalade sees before going unconscious. All forms of damage from demon form are considered lethal unless they've been changed to deal aggravated damage to certain things (holding a silver bat against werewolves, for instance.) After shifting out of the form, all actions take a -3 penalty until Marmalade gets at least 8 hours of restful sleep, and his degeneration rolls are at -1 for 24 hours.
Exceptional Success: The time spent in hellform is not counted against the day's limit, but there's still the normal limit on how long you can stay in it for the scene.
