Intro

Far to the East lies a Great Empire of Cathay, where every word of its Emperor Wu is considered so significant, that entire noble houses are busy with recording his thoughts and fulfilling his every whim.

Once, display of exotic jewelry had piqued Emperor's interest..

And so began near-suicidal quest for retrieving the most rare jewel known - a comet, no less, that have recently fallen in the far away lands. Led by the ambitious Dong Long, a group of twenty soldiers, accompanied by three gloryseeking Dragon Monks and a bunch of mysterious peasants, started a journey through the most perilous lands known to man.

Only ten made it to the Mordheim.

Dragon Monks

Contrary to the popular belief of Cathayan citizens, many of the Dragon Monk-warriors are actually trained in the use of contemporary weapons and armor. They just refuse to use them in battle to spice up a fighting challenge...

Challenge being something they must constantly seek and overcome to prove might of their style in centuries long contest to determine which method of punching people in the face should be considered manliest.

Dong Long's Battle Journal

Encounter 1: vs. The Good Company of Sir Aillas (Manchu victory). First contact with western civilization was a disaster. Due to the obvious miscommunication, these shambling piles of metal, calling themselves "knights", started a hours-long fight over a bunch of buildings in the city outskirts, resulting in bloodbath with both sides suffering casualties. Master Quan was gravely wounded while trying to finish off their Captain.

Encounter 2: vs. Sulemain's Menagerie (Manchu victory). After gaining a footing in the city, my forces began searching grounds around the camp for any traces of the comet. However, we were not the only ones observing this eerie ruins. Marauding mutants was trying to snatch a treasure, hidden just under our nose. Unwilling to miss such an opportunity, I have ordered peasants to attack. Quickly intercepting chest-carrying abominations, my men fearlessly struck them down, feeling nothing but disgust. Sadly, "treasure" turned out to be mere two gold coins worth.

Encounter 3: vs. Iron Biters (Biters Victory). As we had finally figured out the approximate location of the impact zone, and was trying to secure the avenues of approach, the wild group of giant ogres appeared out of nowhere! Stomping through the ranks of soldiers, they soon left the scene, while my men was still crying in pain. Damn ogres.

Encounter 4: vs. Clan Landprecht (Landprecht Victory). By the looks of it these western barbarians love their inns. They love their inns so much, actually, that would fight, die, and kill, just to take one into their possession. I could never hope to understand such behavior. Stumbling across one of those establishments we received such a fierce resistance, that I could only hope to never meet its new inhabitants again. Among other local peculiarities I should note the very active, and moreover - aggressive local population of small rodents. I mean, little monsters chewed up one of the peasants alive and took Hui's eye! Ha! That was entertaining..
