Open for business![edit]

Open for Business: Open for Business:Business: Business: All players may choose to send any of their Heroes to the Merchant instead of having them search for rare items. A Hero doing so may buy one item from the warband's stored equipment if the players can agree on a price (including exchange deals with items and Treasures). Instead of buying an item a Hero may also go to the Merchant to sell any one item (rare, common, magical, treasure counters) to him. If players cannot agree on a price no deal is closed and the visit is wasted

Kalmar Vicious, merciless and dauntless, Kalmar is business-world equivalent of a great white shark. He had a budding mercantile empire under him but his brother, more of an eel than a shark, stole his business from him. Kalmar is determined to amass enough wealth and power in this very risky venture so he can return and reclaim his empire.

Kai DEAD. being replaced Found barely alive in a ruined shop. Show some skill with a rapier and have a good head for trade so Kalmar took him under his horrible wing. Very deadpan

Roland-Sama A bold mercenary with a...ahem...enthusiastic interest in everything Nipponese or Cathay. He owns a real Cathayan armour(folded ober 9000 times. Might actually be paper...), Nipponese swords(that he ordered by mail) and he seemingly knows how to use them, at least people tend to be dead after he is done flailing his blades. Demands to be called Roland-sama for some reason and really likes children.

BoBao Possibly a relative of Honda, hard to say with all the foreign talk that was going on. BoBao speaks SOME proper civilized language at least and can passingly communicate with the warband. A most keen and skillful young man who is very particular about his privacy (such as never sharing room, latrine or bath with anyone), cant grow a beard and does not take too kindly to tomfoolery but is spared mockery from the other men on account of being able to cut a falling cucumber into three pieces before it hits the ground.

The hammer brothers Decker and Olson are marksmen known as 'the hammer brothers' due to the heavy hammers they carry with them for when things get too close to shoot. They are base creatures with simple desires such as loot, ladies, ale, smashing furniture and stomping on small mammals.


Decker died to a skaven fireball


Olson Olson has been working hard since his brother's promotion, so much in fact that he too is a hero now. It is good to see the hammer brothers back together... not hitting anything with their crossbows and using too much loot on whores and gerbils (for shooting at walls). Lost lots of his zest after Decker died. Very quiet these days.

Pluudinius Excellent, warlock After Kalmar's band got a reputation for dealing with anyone and anything (and for their short supply of scrouples) the warlock Pluudinius hunted them down to offer his services. Hungry for power, no regard for human decency, utterly wicked and annoingly dramatic, he was a perfect fit for the corporation.

Henchmen[edit]


The last original pikeman Olaf (axe and shield of nordic variety) is a tough fighter with a rough appearance but he is surprisingly polite.

Asbjørn the pikeman

Asbjørn is a sellsword from Kalmar's home city. Reliable and stout, an ideal soldier.

Honda the blackguard

Honda is some kind of foreigner that Kalmar picked up while trading for silk. Despite his rather small height he can swing his big club around (two handed weapon) with uncanny speed. He is not trusted much due to his shifty looking eyes and the fact that no one understands what he is saying. Light armour. -skill- strongman

Korv is the big mountain of a dog that Kalmar's company bought after their victory against the undead. He is not a pretty dog, looking somewhat like a small, long haired bear, but he is loyal and fierce.

Weapons/Armour: Jaws and brutality! War hounds never use or need weapons and armour. Special Rules Animals: War hounds are animals and thus do not gain experience.

Wins/losses[edit]

1st. Hoestermann's Mans - narrow victory

2nd. Wicked K's Company - Victory by wagon

3rd. Proud toofs, ironbiters and the Giacomo's Gravediggers in an all out 4way brawl for the treasure! - ogres found it immediately and Kalmar's men got in a scrap with the orcs which was promptly ended by Korv chasing the orcs away. Kalmar and Marienburgers are the only one left at the field. Kalmar leaves his card and turns away.

4th. Amar-Sin's Slavers vs Giacomo's Gravediggers vs Us. winner: no one but capitalism. Kalmar stops more fighting from happening and establish trade with both the other teams. While the dwarves and mercs might not like each other, they are both on (seemingly) good terms with Kalmar now. Just as planned...

5th Proud toof tries to break through our blockade...with great success. The weight of the orc mob quickly becomes too much to bear and the corporation makes a swift retreat. Hamsun was shot dead by a sneaky goblin but Ronald-sama took revenge by killing an orc hero in a flurry of flailing blades and shrill, unmanly grunts.

Special: Roland-sama vs Master Jeet duel - Jeet wins, Roland-cries himself to sleep

6th vs Berthas Redemption. Great defeat! Huge losses suffered.

7th. Vs the blight lord's followers. Horrible defeat! Huge losses! Rein dies, Ironboar dies, decker and many folks are scarred, both physically and mentally.

8th Another crushing defeat, this time at the hooks of pirates. Never try to beat a pirate at a treasure hunt... Kai ate lead and died.
