Muamman Duathal is a member of the Morndinsamman - the dwarf gods of Dungeons & Dragons - with a rather complex history. First detailed in the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons splatbook, "Monster Mythology", he was presented as the Dwarf God of Travel, Exploration and Adventurers, with a side-line as the Dwarf God of Lightning. Only problem was, a Forgotten Realms splatbook, "Dwarves Deep", had already introduced another god with that exact same portfolio: Marthammor Duin. Subsequently, another Realms splat, "Demihuman Deities", would explain that Muamman Duathal is just an alternative name for Marthammor Duin, and so he was tossed onto the rubbish heap of history.
...Until Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition. The splatbook "Mordekainen's Tome of Foes" brought back every dwarf god to be named as a member of the Morndinsamman, and that included Muamman Duathal. Whilst no information beyond the bare essentials needed to "designate" your Cleric as following him were presented - that honor was reserved for Moradin, Abbathor, Berronar Truesilver and Clangeddin Silverbeard - those same minimal details suggest that Muamman and Marthammor have split their traditional portfolios; now, Marthammor is the God of Explorers & Adventurers, and Muamman is the God of Storms & Travel.
