The Iron Heart Surge is perhaps the zenith of Fightan Magic ignoring common sense for the sake of being "cool." It is more-or-less exclusive to the Warblade class.

The IHS essentially lets you pick any ongoing effect or condition (really, anything) affecting you end it on the spot. Instantaneous things like fireballs and thrown DMGs are out of the picture, but as long as it sticks around and you don't like it, you can end it. The key here isn't that you just ignore it, but rather that it ends for all parties involved. This means that if you're caught in a blizzard or a magical web, the whole thing can disappear because you set your jaw and make an 'I'm-the-protagonist-in-an-anime' yell. Poison or disease is one thing ("Yes, Timmy. It's your fault that you're dying of cancer at age seven. You should have dipped Warblade") but negating Antimagic Fields or Cloudkill spells is nothing short of bizarre. Heck, you could even end the sun if you stay out long enough to get a sunburn. And isn't "being alive" a persistent condition?
