Yeah, they still exist in the 41th millennium. The Illuminati were in the really old fluff as a human counterpart to the eldar Harlequins, who did what the Exorcists do to make them invisible to demons. They were related to the Star Child plot. However, in recent Horus Hersey fluff it seems that Malcador the Sigillite was one.
The Illuminati is mainly composed of humans who have not only survived possession by a Warp entity, but also managed to do the seemingly impossible, i.e. cast out the daemon from their own bodies.
Their current state? Dead. Or so they say. The offical explanation is that they were secret Tzeentch worshippers... Then again, with the Inquisition and all, this might be a dud.
