The Glistening Host are the product of fat/tg/uys playing around with a modified version of the Chapter Creation tables from Rites of Battle. After a lot of dice rolling, the results came in; an Blood Angels successor chapter that believed that they could fight chaos with chaos, only to be seducted to the sinister whims of Slaanesh.

Solo & Squad Mode Abilities
- Blood Frenzy (Chapter Solo Ability)
- Once per combat, a Battle-Brother of the Glistening Host may summon up a Blood Frenzy. While under the effects of this ability, the Battle-Brother may re-roll Damage dice with melee weapons. In the case of melee weapons that inflict multiple dice of Damage, all dice or none must be re-rolled. In addition, such is the brutality of his attacks that he scores Sadistic Glee (Righteous Fury) on a dice result of 9 or 10 rather than just 10. This ability lasts a number of rounds equal to the Battle- Brother’s Rank, divided by 2 (rounding up).
- Improvement: At Rank 3 and above the Penetration of any melee weapon attacks by the Battle-Brother are increased by +2. At Rank 5 and above this additional melee weapon Penetration rises to +4. At Rank 7 and above the chance of scoring Sadistic Glee increases to a dice result of 8, 9, or 10.
- Power Through Pain (Chapter Squad Attack Pattern)
- Action: Free Cost: 1 Sustained: No
- Members of the Host learn to enjoy all pain, whether it is that of their friends or their foes. The sight and smell of blood is enough to drive them into a killing frenzy to shed more and sate their lusts. When any member of the Kill-Team suffers Damage, the marine using this pattern receives a +4 bonus to damage rolls against the attacker.
- Improvement: At Rank 5 or more, this ability may be sustained.
- Feel No Pain (Chapter Squad Defensive Pattern)
- Action: Free Cost: 0 Sustained: No
- The Glistening Host's marines have experienced torments beyond the imagination of mortal men, and thus mortal weaponry does little to stop them. Until the start of his next Turn, the Battle-Brother and those in Support Range of him convert their pain to ecstasy, halving all Damage (round up) after reduction for Armour Points and Toughness Bonus. While using this ability, however, the Battle-Brothers' hunger for pain is so powerful that they may not use their Reactions to Parry or Dodge and must use an Action with the Attack subtype.
- Improvement: At Rank 5 or more, the restrictions on using Reactions to Parry or Dodge can be ignored.
Chapter Trappings
To be filled
Primarch's Curse
(Considering most Chaos Space Marines have 100 insanity points, nearly every member of the Host has all of these traits.)
GIFT OF SLAANESH
- As the Black Rage began to claim the Blood Dragons, and Khorne's influence over them grew through their wrath, Slaanesh saw an opportunity to thwart its old foe and gain powerful allies in one fell swoop. Skin Dancer, a daemonette, was sent to the Chapter Master and offered him a deal. In exchange for selling his soul to Slaanesh, Slaanesh would remove Khorne's taint from his men. Desaad agreed, and Slaanesh kept its bargain. Instead of unspeakable fury that Khorne could feed from, the Black Rage would inspire a lust for combat that could not be quenched. Desaad watched in horror as his men rapidly converted to Chaos, but soon became an enthusiastic worshipper himself once the Gift came to him.
- Level 1 (Bloodlust): The Battle-Brother cannot stand to leave his hungers unfulfilled. If an enemy surrenders or a fight looks like it will end without a foe’s death, the Battle-Brother must make a Challenging (+0) Willpower Test to avoid torturing them or killing at least one foe. The GM may increase or decrease the modifier for this test depending on the circumstance and the ramifications of the killing.
- Level 2 (Feel Them Bleed): Those wallowing in Slaanesh's embrace favor close melee combat, where the blood of their foes stains their armor red. Unless there is no possible way to close with a foe, the Battle-Brother will always favour melee combat over ranged combat and will charge into the fray, discarding the bolter for the hungry teeth of a chainsword.
- Level 3 (Thirst For Pain): The Black Rage was also intertwined with another of the Blood Angels flaws: the Red Thirst. The cross-mutation of the Host's omophagea and black carapace, along with Slaanesh's manipulations, have led to a disturbing new manifestation of the ancient curse. Once a battle is over, a Battle-Brother with Thirst For Pain must make a Hard (–20) Willpower Test or spend at least a few minutes drinking the blood of his foes and covering himself in the gore of battle, regardless of the dangers involved. This consumption of blood and viscera allows the Battle-Brother to recall the pain the victims felt before death, as well as the experience of death itself, an experience they invariably find addicting.
