In the most basic WH40K sense, heresy is the most severe accusation the Imperium could accuse you of which is mostly punishable by death. But if they could forgive you, you'll most probably end up as a lobotomized servitor or be attached to some other kind of mechanical contraption that will ultimately result in you being killed, except you became useful BEFORE accepting the inevitable. Fuklaw KNOWS what it is, and he knows when you commit it. That's when he kills you. Dark Heresy is a particularly good PNP game set in the 40k universe. On /tg/ it's usually used as a substitute for a "censored" sign over NSFW material posted. That is, if anyone actually bothers censoring it.

What IS heresy?

Here's a short and general list:

  • EVERYTHING IS HERESY
  • EVERYTHING

Extra heresy

Extra heresy is a decree recently enacted by local Commissar Fuklaw. While we're still albeit sketchy on the details, it is clearly mentioned that Xenos love is Extra heretical. Punishment is still the generic execution by your local commissar....those dic...*BLAM*.

The Imperium's patented heresy detector

What isn't heretical

Much like the whole Rule 34 and Rule 35 gig, there are a few things that isn't heresy. Here's a short and general list:

  • Veneration of the immortal Emperor
  • Praising of the Emperor
  • Venerate the immoral Emperor
  • Why are you still reading this instead of venerating the motherfucking Emperor?! You must be a heretic for thinking twice of venerating the Emperor! Die heretic scum! *BLAM*.
