Drizzt Do'Urden is the Drow elf protagonist of several of R.A. Salvatore's Forgotten Realms novels. He is well known and hated on /tg/ for being the origin of the "Good Drow fighting to prove themselves worthy despite the sins of their kin while dual-wielding scimitars" stereotype used as a template to create characters by hundreds upon thousands of pathetically unoriginal idiots the world over. He is also commonly described as a Mary Sue, although the actual character is no more a Sue than your average non-evil drow (which was somewhat original before Salvatore came around). The hate for him most likely stems from quite legitimate rage at the bona fide Sues that were spawned by his existence.
