As of 6:35, 27 May 2019, this idea has been created. Feel free to edit and comment as needed. Be mindful that the idea is nowhere near completion and that the final product may not resemble the first intent. While the Power Guardians are a little more technologically advanced than an average blueberry, this chapter has units based off the Knights Inductor by Evilexecutive, who can take as much credit as he wants for the idea, such as the psyker nulling ability. Please DO NOT share this as someone will yell mary sue the next minute after you post it, going all willy-nilly in their rant vlog. Currently, only a part of the fluff has been made.
Foreword : From what has been heard, its been said that the Knights Inductor is regarded by the whole of the fa/tg/uys as utterly laughable trash, and its name been tainted that people do not want to even touch it. Let's hope this does not end up as the same.

Part One

Sometime in the 35 millenium

His name was Gicker Pertinax Liesser Arthur. It was all the name he found burnt into the palms of his hands. No matter that they called him Brother Omniel, he knew, deep down, his name was Gicker Arthur. He was once of the Grey Knights, but had founded a new chapter, and now was making a tough decision. It all started six hundred years prior when he made the mistake of sailing a battle cruiser filled with several units of Grey Knights, who were onto a crusade into the Warp Storm. They were routed severely, and were bravely running away via Warp to escape several ships of Slannesh and Khorne attempting to board their ship, the Vengeance. After weeks, the ship's gellar field failed, and emerged out of the Warp directly into a nebula, attempting to hide.

They spent weeks navigating the nebula, attempting to make emergency repairs with a low supplies and a few surviving tech marines dicing on the border of heretical. But the Grand Master did not care for that, as they needed to survive and fight once more. With broken spirits, and some with broken bodies, they stumbled onto a solar system of isolated humans, who had gotten wind of the Horus Heresy far out here and placed interplanetary defense platforms, the likes never seen by these space marines. Shortly after making contact with the isolated, whom called themselves the United Confederation of States, and told them of their plight, the demons found them once more, and tacked towards them at ramming speed. The UCS quickly and deftly aimed the defense platforms at the intruders, and created small gravitational rifts that tore the ships apart and flung the scraps back into the Warp. The UCS occupied a binary solar system, the edges of it were marked by the gases of the nebula. The UCS homeworld was a rich, larger than Terra, planet, filled with countless lore, greenery, cities, and oceans so vast, so uncorrupted, that they had never seen before. So broken were these Grey Knights, the Grand Master decided to settle onto one of the homeworld's moons and set up temporary headquarters by trading information of the outside world.

Slowly they rejuvenated their numbers by inter-mingling with the locals and drafting volunteers, it caused the gene seed to become unstable. Due to these humans isolation and wanting to be left alone, they had developed their genes to null their Warp signatures, and inadvertently bestowed these traits into their gene seed, altering it slightly. This altercation managed to null the powers of even. Even as secluded as they were from the Inquisition and the Endless War, they trained hard. They lost some of their fighting zeal, but made it up by instead taking up some of the tenets of the local military force, and rebuilt their strength, drive, and unity up from the ground. Instead of preferring to charge into the battle, these new Grey Knights would have a brunt fighting force which would entrench themselves as they advanced, taking down key targets using specialised infiltrators and armament support. To do so, Brother Omniel sanctioned his remaining techmarines, all whom would of been declared hereteks by the Adepta Mechanicus at this point, to take apart their own weapons and tech, study them, and improve upon them, and noting every detail to reproduce them at a later time, designating them as the Hidden Study. After that, he then sanctioned the use of the mortals, the average UCS man, to aid the chapter as support units, filing in the ranks as mechanics or armor pilots, designating then as the Rearward Blade. He then designated his once master pskyers to research their abilites, designating them as the Unseen Blade.

The chapter changed, slowly but every surely, surpassing over the the 10000 battle brother strength limit for a chapter, a decision was made. As changed as they were, they held a referendum. In this debacle, Brother Omniel, the Grand Master, placed a tower onto the ground half the size of him, stuck a power sword through it, and stated that the Grey Knights were getting closer to leaving the safety of the nebula. He said it was in his opinion, as so different as they were from when they came, that it was time to found a new chapter right then and there, but only if the whole agreed, came up to the tower, took a knee, and swore an oath to uphold the name of the Emperor, Humanity, and his Battlebrothers at the tower he placed onto the ground. This procession took two days, and ended when Brother Omniel himself took the oath. Thus, the Power Guardians was founded.

Afterwords, a change in conduct followed. The Grand Master chartered the formation of the Order of the Stronghold. Gone were purity seals, inplace where they once were, an insignia of a imperial eagle perching upon a fortress, the Seal of the Stronghold, was placed onto a shield mounted onto the left shoulder of every space marine. Camouflage covers and painting molds were made to quickly create a perfect camouflage for whatever the mission required. Each bolt weapon was modified, mainly to improve reload speeds, fire rate, and bolt force. Gravity weapons were mounted onto larger armor and ships, the instability of the plasma weapons fixed, coilgun research wasdone and implemented, and the armor was improved. The battlecruisers Old Broadsides, Tax Collector, and Vengeance's Revenge were ceremoniously launched via bottle by request of the Rearward Blade, and flew out of the gravitational well of the moon. Sailing out of the nebulae with the three improved battlecruisers, they jumped into the Warp, and came out of the other end somewhere in the Eastern Fringe. They has spent 5000 years in ship travel, and were ready for war.

There was the issue of 300 veterans in total in the chapter, as the rest were green and would quake at the sight of demons, but was disregarded on the fact. They were feeling safe as their ships were formidable opponents with their new weaponry, and psykic powers were unable to touch them. The sheer force of their whole force packed on those ships, 10000 space marines plus 5000 soldiers of the Rearward Blade, was enough raw power to keep a lesser daemon prince at bay at threat of suffocation. They attempted to hail a Imperium battle barge via voxchannels, but alas, they would not answer, deeming the ships to be unholy due to weapon armaments and the lack of purity seals or Imperialism. And now, to the present here he was, Brother Omniel, staring at his hands, in an attempt to remember his past life.

Part 2

Present Day

Three ships warped onto the screen. Scant of imperial livery, painted fully black, full of unknown weaponry, and appearing chaotic in nature, Captain James Emmerrit was damn downright scared. "God help us all!" he cried from his command post, and sounded to combat stations.

"Grand Master! Sir, we have encountered Imperial Ships, they powering up weapons! Do we retaliate?" yelled the Grand Master's helmet. Quickly donning his armor's gauntlets, he screwed on his helmet shut and replied "Negative Captain. Power up the void shield and use evasive maneuvers. Relay to the other Captains" Red emergency lights blared across and the emergency maneuver alarms sounded. Brother Omniel barely had time to grab a bar onto the wall as the ship pirouetted through space, throwing him to the left, then right. He lost his grip and was thrown to the ceiling before being slammed down onto the floor. Clambering the stairway ladder that lead to the bridge, the ship jerked erratically over and over again. "Sir, we have minimal damage on ventral hull structure from these evasive maneuvers. There is only one enemy, a battle barge, attacking us, and with a well aimed shot from the coilgun we can disable their engines temporarily. A mishap could do serious damage to them, but we cannot continue our evasive maneuvers at the risk of internal tearing," the Captain of Old Broadsides stated, fairly worried. "Damn it. Hail them once more, and if they don't answer, take the shot. As far as communications go, they can't hail anyone," stated the Grand Master, voice set and determined. As the hail was ignored once more, Old Broadsides took actions. Orders were sent, and unseen by Brother Omniel, an large oval slot slid back from the battering ram, and out came a stubby barrel. This was a massive coilgun, that the ship itself was built upon. A firing solution was set, and Old Broadsides prepared for the inevitable.

Trent Lynch was in the engine room when it happened. He was in Engine Room 1 aboard the Mastodon when the combat alarm was sounded, messing around with a plasma dial. He ran to his station, which happened airlock number 43, unholstered his lasgun and took his post in the dark corner protected by piping from enemy fire. He waited.

Present Plotholes/Notes

Why did the Grey Knights not smite the UCS instanteanously?

Coilguns. While they are pretty damn powerful, it must be stated that they were taken from some designs of the UCS and then implemented onto Old Broadsides.

The five thousand soldiers from the UCS would need to be cryo-freezed in order to survive their 5000 year voyage hurtling through the Warp in Part One.
