Introduction

Atlanta. The shining gem of the South. The concrete metropolis in a state known for its cotton and its peaches has a bit of a pest problem. A ghost problem, to be exact.

For years Atlanta has been protected by one iconic Krewe of six people from the terrors of the Underworld and the mischievous shades that would slit someone's throat for fun. They've been around for years, but now they are all passing away quietly in their sleep. The evils that lie in the hearts of mortals and ghosts alike are rising and without a protector, Atlanta stands poised to become a Stygian hell-hole on earth.

The throne of Atlanta lies empty, and only a select few will be called to fill it. Thus begins a new chapter in the story that is Necropolis, Atlanta.

Game Info.

Atlanta, Georgia. If you're not familiar with it, that's fine. You will become acclimatized to it.

The game is Geist: the Sin-Eaters.

Krewe Mythology: Life started with the big bang. There's no real outside personality or being that oversees existence at all, but human life and existence is forged from an individual's will and belief. That belief is what created The Underworld and the after-life.


Metaphysics: Kerberoi are formed from the excessive negative thoughts and energy from ghosts in the underworld which may have warped them into grotesque monsters. So infused with the energy of the ghosts and the underworld that they became the caretakers, endlessly toiling to keep the fickle and alien order in line. Ghosts are merely personalities with a strong enough will that cause them to not entirely dissipate into non-existence. The Underworld is a dimension that provides a differing experience for any ghost or personality that goes there. Human belief has caused for some personalities and memetic structures to take the form of gods, such as Cthulhu, Yog-Soggoth, etc. These personalities oversee the Afterlife due to it being so structured that the mythical become a part of existence. That life is a one-time kind of experience and that it's important-yes please-to live it as best as possible. Whatever "best" may be for that individual.


Ban: We don't want the dead inhibiting the living's ability to live their lives. (ie: Don't empower angry ghosts)

Duty: The Krewe's duty is to help people, both living and non-living with it's unique talents, knowledge, and abilities. It's second duty is to party hard.

Destiny: To Party Hard.

Haunt

From the outside The Vortex bar and grill just looks like another place to hang out in little five, but to the members of Kyushin its their own personal haunt. The Vortex features a plasm bar, internet-esque bulletin board, and a door to the underworld.
