Background

Son of a trader, attacked in forest, everyone died!! BLEEDING AND EXHAUSTED, DRAGGED HIMSELF THROUGH THE WOODS, EATING BERRIES AND SLOW AMINALS, UNTIL LUNA SHOWED UP FOR A HIGHFIVE. His problems didn't end there. While the Silver Pact is quite adept at retrieving their newest members immediately after Exaltation, this one proved to be a bit of a problem- of course, when one Exalts so close to the Opal Court, especially a Lunar Exalt, well. Sometimes the Fair Folk really can't help themselves. His stay there seemed like an eternity, but probably only took a few weeks at most- someone as resourceful as him couldn't be kept prisoner for long. His escape, and subsequent retrieval by the Silver Pact, more than counted as trials worthy of a Full-Moon Caste.

Directional Mastery Stuff

  • Center: The character is immune to environmental crippling effects. She takes no damage from avalanches or cave-ins, and being crushed by a ton of rubble is a mere inconvenience. A sandstorm tickles her skin.
  • East: The character is unaffected by plant-based toxins. Irritating insects avoid her or cannot penetrate her skin, and she never develops annoying rashes. Other creatures that swarm ignore her. Insects that actually damage her subtract three from their dice pools and raw damage values.
  • North: The character takes no damage from chill or extreme cold. She never catches a chill. Terrible ice storms provide a pleasant massage. She never feels uncomfortably cold, only pleasantly cool.
  • South: The character may walk through natural and magical flames without pain. Fire does not burn her clothing. Extreme heat does not harm her. She never feels uncomfortably hot, only pleasantly warm. In sandstorms, particles do not even get stuck in her clothing.

Manses and Hearthstones

IRON SOUL STONE (MANSE •••••)
This smooth, rounded gray stone looks like an ordinary rock with no special properties. However, it protects its bearer and everything he wears or carries from all effects of the Wyld. It also inflicts one level of aggravated damage every 5 ticks to any Wyld-touched creature (including the Fair Folk and mortals assimilated by the Wyld) who comes withinfive yards of the bearer. Wyld creatures killed by this deadly power vanish in a puff of fine dust. All creatures associated with the Wyld can sense the stone’s deadly cold from 15 yards away. Also, all Fair Folk within a mile instantly sense if the bearer brings this stone into any portion of the Wyld deeper than the Bordermarches. Nearby Fair Folk may attempt to destroy the stone and its bearer, drive the bearer out of the Wyld, or simply flee, as they judge their strength compared to the stone’s bearer’s.

STONE OF RESILIENT BAMBOO (MANSE •••)
This cylindrical stone gleams with the bright, opaque green of living bamboo. Its bearer’s intrinsic lethal soak equals her Stamina. She can also parry lethal attacks unarmed without a stunt. In addition, the bearer regenerates one level of lethal or bashing damage every hour. This stone does not speed the healing of aggravated damage.

WILDERNESS GEM (MANSE ••••)
This rough, pale-purple triangle gives its bearer an unparalleled understanding of the wilderness. The bearer can easily find food and shelter, instinctively understands the habits of animals, can easily track prey and can accurately predict the weather. This stone adds two successes to all Survival rolls and enables its bearer to perform supernatural tracking.
