After the War of the Beard, a lot of the Underway was ruined, cut off or overrun by Greenskins and [[Skaven|Rat Guys]] leaving large parts of the Everlasting Realm cut off from each other. Eventually some engineer came up with an idea, "You know those Steam Engines that we use to power mining equipment? Why don't we use them to turn a propeller to lift us up into the air?" He made his first prototype, the rest of the old curmudgeons of the guild were impressed and a few centuries latter a finalized version was approved for service. | |||

The Gyrocopter is an aircraft used by the Dwarfs of Warhammer Fantasy Battles.
History
Gyrocopters are a newfangled thing, by Dwarfen Standards at least. After the War of the Beard, a lot of the Underway was ruined, cut off or overrun by Greenskins and Rat Guys leaving large parts of the Everlasting Realm cut off from each other.
