'Grox' are the primary livestock of the Imperium of Man, pretty much Grimdark lizard cows. They're raised across countless thousands of worlds because they can eat a wide variety of plant life up to and including driftwood, breed prolifically and (despite all the shit that happens in the galaxy) are actually pretty damn tasty. The only problem is that they're highly territorial and aggressive and generally need to be lobotomized to be wrangled.
