The Geonid is a turtle-jawa from Dungeons & Dragons. It looks like a rock, it has a Stone Age society, and it is led by shamans. Despite having a shell of actual stone, it is carbon-based and will eat meat.

The Geonid appeared in the adventure module X5: The Temple of Death, although - like the dusanu - didn't join its buddies the Malfera or the Mujina for the Companion Set. The BXCMI Creature Catalogue collected them all, belatedly.

In Mystara, tribes live in the Great Pass between Hule and the Sind Desert; and somewhere south of Alfmyr in the Shadowlands.

The Geonid was updated to Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 2nd edition in the Mystara appendix for the Monstrous Compendium. They also appeared in 5e in the Tortle Package.
