A Feral World is a classification of a world in the Imperium. A Feral World is a planet colonized by humans, but lacking even the most basic technologies present on typical Imperium worlds, such as Stubguns and tanks. At best, they have only progressed somewhere around the Steel or Black Powder age and at worst, the Stone age. Basically, before the medieval ages.
Feral Worlds are normally prized by Space Marine chapters as recruiting worlds. Because of their hardy living standards and relative simple-mindedness, they're prime worlds for recruiting aspirants to become Space Marines.
Known Feral Worlds
- Chogoris, homeworld of the White Scars, known in Imperial archives as Mundus Planus ("Flat World"). Also classified as a Feudal World.
- Colchis, homeworld of the Word Bearers, subjected to Exterminatus by the Ultramarines during the Great Scouring
- Ithaka, homeworld of the Iron Snakes, located in the Reef Stars and also an Ocean world.
