[[Pathfinder]] ported them into the [[oracle]] class, and gave them actual unique abilities and features and things.


5e actually made them fairly decent by making them basically a new archetype/magic source for the [[Sorcerer]] in an Unearthed Arcana article. Gets one Cleric Domain's special spells as bonus spells to their list, free proficiency with basic arms & armor, attacking twice per Attack Action, flight at-will by sprouting and dismissing wings, and the ability to heal themselves by casting any Domain spell.

Think a Divine Magic Sorcerer, only with some "Totally not Jesus as a Class" features, including holy wings. Also it doesn't have good Armour proficiencies despite being totally effective in heavy armour. Can also healbot like nuts with all its spontaneous cast heals.
