Evo2K18: Traditional Evo Expanded is an ongoing series of evolution game quest threads, centering around LV-427. It was begun February 22nd, 2018 by a namefag calling themselves EvOp, later ExtinctOp, and was then taken over by Commodore Norrington one week later. The game has since developed mechanics and events as well as multiple sequel threads.

Events Summary[edit]

Here you will find a quick overview of the events, themes, and divergences of the various threads of the Fortune: Evolution game. Each thread was given a fancy title and a theme, in the interest of distinguishing each individual section but also to create a light narrative to the planet of Fortune as a whole.

Click the linked headings for a detailed description of the fluff starting creatures of the thread. Note that only the final forms at the time of the threads beginning are presented (meaning that Part 2 shows thread 1's final forms, Part 3 shows thread 2's final forms, and so on).

The VitaInitium Period 4.2Billion A.C[edit]

LV-427 begun as a Class M Subterranean world orbiting a young sun. LV-427 is covered in water with its deepest depths at 14km and shallowest areas at around 400m, current above water temperatures are at 60°C.

The Cyneofrigusglomerorum Period 4,260 Million A.C[edit]

60million years after the VitaInitium Period, Mass amounts of Cynemorphs spread throughout the ocean creating mass lethal spore fields aswell as removing enough carbon from the planet to cool LV-427 by 45°C around the equator and roughly 80°C at the magnetic poles. These changes combined with tectonic plates shifting creating shallow areas only 100m deep and Hydrothermal Vents and fissures, resulted in Ice caps, sea levels dropping and waters becoming uninhabitable below 600m or unless within 300m of a Hydrothermal Vent.

The IncrementumTerra Period 4,333 Million A.C[edit]

73million years after the Cyneofrigusglomerorum period only a handful of species remained alive with the vast majority extinct. LV-427 in the resulting aftermath was left with a nutrient rich seafloor and finally its first Teutonic plates emerging from the water creating Terrapetram. The ocean now sits at around 17°C with it hottest areas at 23°C and coldest at 0°C. The surface temperature of LV-427 has also increased with temperatures at roughly 30°C around the equator but still -20°C at the poles.

The Foliumincrementum Period 4,397 Million A.C[edit]

64million years after the IncrementumTerra period, plant life begins spreading throughout the growing Terrapetram. Constant rainfall has also resulted in a giant relatively shallow inland lake that runs directly down into the ocean. The volcanic regions of Terrapetram have also begun to show some slight activity.

The MagnaIgnis Period 4,467 Million A.C[edit]

70million years after the Foliumincrementum period, plant life greatly spreads as well as land based creatures. LV-427 also became host to a large satellite which has become its first moon. A very small satellite of LV-427’S moon was pulled into LV-427 atmosphere as well resulting in a large impact crater and catastrophic damage to surrounding life. LV-427’s moon is also roughly 1billion years away from colliding with LV-427.

The Tutum Period 4,507 Million A.C[edit]

40 million years after the MagnaIgnis period, Plant life has significantly evolved however sea mats were almost completely eradicated. The spread of HivePurp’s during this period also resulted in the oxygenating and recycling of dead leaf matter resulting in a natural balance on LV-427. Terrepetram is now capable of fully supporting a variety of land creatures for generations to come pathing the way for the evolution of much larger animals.

The Sororientem Period 4,707 Million A.C[edit]

200 million years after the Tutum period, Two new continets rise form the ocean on the left being FloraInsulam and right MortemRegio. Although lacking all the needed elements to support complex life, both continents are filled with rich soils and needed conditions for plant based life.

The Great Rearranging 4,807 Million A.C[edit]

After 100 Million years of peaceful evolution and slow migration onto the new continents, Terrapetram's Super Volcano erupts sending many of the local species fleeing away on the great floating ecosystems of Sea Plants (here on referred to as Sea Mats) to wherever is safest. This caused an explosion of new species as everything adapted to the new lands and steadily rising temperatures, it was during this period that LV-427 saw its first set of proto-sapient creatures.
