More charitably Evil Hat is separating the art from the artist, but again Neckbeards...

Evil Hat Production is a small press RPG publishing house behind such noteworthy games as Spirit of the Century, Don't Rest Your Head, and the Dresden Files RPG. They seem to like making very free-flow, role-play heavy games.

They suck

Then again in 2018, they released Fate of Cthulhu with a big fat disclaimer about Lovecraft bad, while the CEO plainly states in a (now deleted) tweet that the game is using Cthulhu because Cthulhu sells. Hence, slamming on H.P. Lovecraft with one hand while making money on H.P. Lovecraft with the other.
