Dork (who's real name is Bright Penny or Dorakathen Azurakluzzelenark Nur Zulauknagh according to some users) is young red dragoness that tried to attack the village of Clearwater. Unfortunatelly, as a young one, her attemp was less menacing and more dorky, causing the village and some adventurers to take pity on her, making her start living with them on the village.
Bright "Dork" Penny Herself
Dork is a young, naive red dragoness that came to the village to take tribute, in the form of gold and prisioners. Fortunatelly, she was cleary nervous and didn't actually wanted to hurt anyone, so the village, alongside some adventurers "adopted" her, leading to some hijicks, she being obssesed with human culture helped with this.
On the village she mostly scares away the pests problems smaller than her (most of them), being this enough for the villagers to give her the meat and trinkets needed for her service. Albeit she tends to cause problems due to her clumsy size and social akwardness, they are usually minor and amusing, so the is easily forgiven.
Due to her naive nature, most stuff we see as normal and mindblowing for her, like farming, birthdays, parties, celebrations, riding other animals as mounts (she was sad to know that her riding a horse would kill it), cooking, the concept of trade, homes and pets. Almost everything is amazing to her, in short.
Sweets and chocolate where truly astonishing to her, being what cemented her opinion that mortal folk and their inventions are truly astonishing.
As a child, she usually has tantrums, that due to her size and power can be unintentionally destructive. A few time she has poutily chomped down on whoever she is arguing with, not to hurt them, but to shut them up and get them quiet. Fortunatelly (or not acording to vorefags), she never swallows anyone.
She has a lair up in the mountains, but she's moved into the village, making the old barn her new lair, where she keeps all the trinkets the village makes for her.
She got her hand with blacksmithing and glass blowing, two things she enjoys a lot.
She once maid a makeship violin, using a rope and a tree. Albeit it sounded awful, she tried to use a regular instrument later, and everyone discovered that she is good musician, but an awful instrument maker.
Some of her hijinks are:
- She once allowed a band of goblins into the village thinking they were children. However the goblins we're not wearing the proper school uniforms the children wear and she thus had to rectify this. Everytime the goblins try to either eat babies or steal something she is always around to awkwardly and serendipitously turn the situation around by virtue of still thinking they are kids. Farmer Brown was quite amused when she made a handful of goblins forcibly wearing ill fitting school uniforms apologize for trying to steal a chicken. 1 or 2 of the goblins found they enjoyed being dotted on by the dragon enough they stick around pretending to be human children. They are completely terrified of the idea the rest of the village will discover the truth, when it is quite obvious to everyone except the dragon that they are indeed, a goblin.
- After learning that farmers can just get food to grow from the ground she had the idea to plant "sheep trees". At least she knew that sheeps neeed to breath, but Farmer Brown wasn't happy to wake and see all of his flock's head sticking out out the ground.
- Routinely shoving her head in through open windows and doors to see what’s going on inside buildings.
- She can’t easily tell the difference between the humanoid races of the world, oftentimes confusing humans, elves, dwarves, halflings, etc.
- She is a fan of clothing in general and pockets particularly, and a cloak with a great many of them is s prized possession.
The Village of Clearwater
Bloodstained Ruby
Bloodstained Ruby is Dork's mother. A cruel, evil red dragon living across the continent. She is not happy to learn about her daughter's new life.
In a campaign, she would be the final boss, that She is a fan of clothing in general and pockets particularly, and a cloak with a great many of them is s prized possession. Or killing Ruby, to Dork's plight.
The Paladin
The Paladin is a paladin that has come to Clearwater after learning about Dork's appearance. He came with the intention to kill her, and was furious uppon seeing the village living along with her. He can't kill her due to the conmotion that that would cause, but believes that she is a legitimante threat, and will use every opportunity to prove that right and justify her murder.
He is accompained with a squire, way more friendly, who's not as angry with Dork, and might end becoming her friend.
The Paladin is not happy with the temple using dragonglass stained windows.
Other Adversaries
- A band of bandits that Dork accidentally scared off, and now they want to come back in huge numbers, the village has started to fortify everything. The village can't see Dork as someone capable of violence, it's up to the adventurers to decide if they will try to take on the bandits alone, or taint the innocent soul of Dork with her help to defend the village, forcing her to kill a person(s).
- A bunch of “proper” dragons her own age swoop in and she’s excited to show off her town and all she’s learned, but they’re rowdy and brutish and want to get our girl to act more like them. She would have to do some soul-searching and decide what and who she really cares about, and what she wants being a dragon to mean to her.
