In the skin darkness of the future, there is only Mary Sues. A.k.A Drowtales: How to be a mangaka-faggot with cognitive dissonance.

Drowtales: Moonless Age is a fantasy manga-style webcomic that has been running since 2001.

Not as terrible as /tg/ says it is.

Description

When an admittedly skilled bunch of artists with the mental maturity of a blighted potato make the Twilight of Dark Elf fictions. The Dark Elves are shown to be mostly cute, animesque and angsty nerdy teenagers with express love, faith, purity and innocence while hordes of slaves are brought to work, die and be used in Underdark while bitching about how shitty their lives are, right after a rebellion of some house has slaves cut up to feed the others, or are used in hellish experiments.

Main character, "oops I blew up the light elf slavegirl next to the rich drow brat, accidentally getting her chest blown up by magic missile, who says "what have I done to deserve this" in light elven and dies painfully as my loli retard slave cheers a good magic shot" Ariel, enjoys the marketplace and watches slaves getting butchered in the arena while angsting over a death of a light elf MILF which she caused; after seeing three light elves on sale, naked and chained). Oh she pulls out any imaginary power out of her ass when cornered.

Mary Sue characters get missions, recapture slaves and massacre human towns (this webcomic's Drow are described as not cruel or evil- right after casually genociding a human settlement and sell survivors to slavery and having lesbian sex in the conquered settlement and then killing the vengeful human attackers to free their captured kin (who are sold away to slavery); using "righteous flame" paladin spells and burning humans alive, yes one of the characters is a half drow half light elf flame paladin, like a retarded D&D session of a 13 year old bondage porn freak), give an occasional slave "freedom" for what is worth while angsting over some strangely happy, clingy light elf slavegirl the protagonist manga drow chick blasted with a spell over a childish argument, which her drunken loli retard slave cheered. Yes, cheered. Said protagonist says slavery is *kinda* bad right before murdering the vengeful human attackers who came to save their families from slavery. Seriously...

Basically F.A.T.A.L of webcomics with worse plot and morality confusions than said game, capable of instilling RAGE in jaded neckbeards that would make Khorne giggle. Honestly any encounter with D&D Drow would make the latter run away with disgust. Some have cat ears. All are bisexual. Seriously I am about to blow a vein here. Read FATAL instead."

Drow politics

Sorry about being a salty man about Drowtales. But seriously, its like a logic diarrhea with tiddies and sex.

At first you think that it is like an examination of the conflicts that arise from putting a bunch of mary sues in a cavern that is too small for them, but then you realize that it is about a bunch of mary sues.

Factions

  • Sarghress: The clan the main character belongs to and thus the default "heroic" one. They are a clan of mercenary commoners focused on strength, the rights of commoners, and so on. Boring as all fuck.
  • Sharen: The aristocrats of the city who all wear beautiful outfits and act haughty. Their clan is split into multiple bloodlines who constantly plot against each other. These are the most D&D-like drow in the setting.
  • Sullisin'rune: Essentially the Brave New World society in drow form. They wear a lot of blue, use empath abilities and have regular orgies in their glowing dome fortress. One of the more interesting factions in the story.
  • Vloz'ress: Anarchist demon worshippers. Generally useless and self-defeating.
  • Beldrobbaen: Emo goths who live in an inverted castle built on the cavern ceiling. They dress in all black and mope around. Needless to say, they are by far the most popular clan among the fanbase.
  • Nal'sarkoth: Surface merchants who dress in all green. They barely show up in the story and nobody gives a flying fuck about them.
  • Illhar'dro: The other merchant clan. Slightly more interesting in that they have a form of magic based on singing. Biggest exporter of drow pop stars in the underworld.
  • Jaal'darya: Female-only clan who use biotechnology. They create artificial life forms and transform their bodies into all kinds of weird shit.
