Khala is the original God of Winter in the Nentir Vale setting of Dungeons & Dragons. The former wife of Zehir and mother of Kord, she attempted to seize control over the Prime Material after the end of the Dawn War in an alliance with Gruumsh and Tiamat; this created what is known amongst scholars of the divine as the War of Winter. Eventually, Khala was overpowered and slain, resulting in her portfolio being scavenged by the Raven Queen.
The War of Winter is stated to have been the final straw that led to the Primal Spirits banishing the gods to the Astral Sea.
Information on Khala is spread out over several splatbooks, making a complete reference hard to provide.
