The Humber Scout Car troop is a unit in Flames of War. It is built around the Humber Scout Car, a light vehicle that was used for recon duties during the Second World War.

IRL

The Humber was first created to supplement the Daimler Dingo as a recon vehicle for British Forces. It entered Service in 1942, with a crew of 2. In order to keep the speed up, the armor was very low, and would only be effective against small arms and nothing else. It was equipped with a Bren LMG to shoo away infantry and the odd aircraft, but really didn't want to be anywhere near combat.

Combat reports indicated that the Humber was not a great recon vehicle, so they were exported to foreign nations post-war and during the war. The Bongs used them as tank practice afterwards, while the Belgians used them as police vehicles until the 1950s.
