Background and Description

The youngest of three sisters, Reiko showed stubbornness and strong will from a young age. While physically fit and eager to excel, her boyish mannerisms and short temper often led to great exasperation from both her parents and her etiquette instructors. She seemed to get along far better with her male peers than her female ones, and was often described as a tomboy by her elders. Such was her behavior, that her mother often joked that she had been given a rowdy son disguised as a daughter.

Unlike her oldest sister Erika, who became a Shugenja, or her middle sister Chie, who became a Courtier, Reiko instead opted to walk the path of the sword. She proved to be very skilled with weapons, especially her father's katana, but she also preferred the massive ono for its raw destructive power. Even in sparring matches, she was a wild, furious fighter, seemingly unconcerned for her own safety; her recklessness once ended up badly injuring her sparring partner, and she was admonished harshly for her lack of discipline. Since then she has tried to show some restraint, but her inflated ego and brash nature often get the best of her.

Now, Reiko is a full Samurai of the Lion Clan, eager to prove to her worth as a warrior. With her trusty sword in her hand and passion in her heart, she feels like nothing can stop her in her quest for glory. Whether or not her cocky optimism will last remains to be seen...
