Void Shields displace missiles and projectiles by placing them into another dimension, which is why missiles go *Poof* when they touch them. The Imperium, being the Imperium, has also found a way to weaponise the damn things. Get a ship with void shields close enough to another ship, or a space station, or a planet or what have you and then turn those suckers on. Bam.
