Mordenkainen is an archmage from the [[Greyhawk]] setting, and technically that setting's equivalent of [[Elminster]], being the setting's Big Name Adventurer-Patroning Wizard. He runs the [[Circle of Eight]], a group of eight archmagi, and is an old adventuring buddy of [[Iggwilv]], [[Murlynd]] and [[Zagyg]].
