It's a high grade ceramic material used in furnaces and chemical plants because it's checked out for over 1400 degrees of heat resistance. It's not quite as baller as the far future stuff, but still. Ceramite is a fictional material of the Warhammer 40,000 universe, used by the Imperium of Man. It is a composite made from Ceramic and Titanium.
Power Armour (but not most suits of Terminator Armor) is made from it, and vehicles making orbital drops (like Thunderhawks, Stormravens, Storm Eagles, and Stormtalons) are often plated with ceramite tiles to protect them from the heat of re-entry. This ceramite plating has the effect of protecting such vehicles from the extra armor-penetrating ability of melta weapons.
