Animu looks like this. Sorta.

Anime are cartoons from Japan. Being a fan of anime does not necessarily make one weeaboo under the stricter definition of the term, but if you are weeaboo you are almost certainly an anime fan, so most people do not bother to make the distinction. A large proportion of 4chan's userbase are anime fans, including many of the denizens of /tg/. As a result, anime-related images are frequently posted to /tg/. They also generally have very little to do with the topic itself.

Some of /tg/'s favorite animu include:

  • The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi, specifically a transgendered female version of the main character of the series, Kyon.
  • Spice and Wolf, specifically Horo, wolf-girl pagan goddess of the harvest. Also economics. Often mistaken for Leman Russ.
  • Neon Genesis Evangelion: A character drama that pretends to be a mecha anime for its first half. Inspiration for Adeptus Evangelion. Obviously.
  • Princess Tutu: Yeah, go ahead and laugh. Imagine a Changeling: the Lost campaign written by Neil Gaiman while chugging the nightmare fuel.
  • Touhou, which is not actually an anime or manga but is frequently confused as such by those unfamiliar with it. It has however, received several official manga spinoffs.
  • Berserk, which is 3.X DnD: The Anime. Noted for being GUTS HUEG because HUEG GUTS has HUEG GUTS.
  • Record of Loads of War: ADnD the Anime.
  • Slayers: 2E the Anime.
  • Strike Witches: (Little Girls in Panties) If only enough to make a homebrew about it. Loli airplane machines, each and ever one of them.
  • Fist of the North Star: The manliest show ever made.
  • Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagaan: The Orkiest show ever made.
  • Ghost in the Shell: Standalone Complex: /k/ makes a show about cyborgs and politics.
  • Haiyore! Nyaruko-san: It's one of those wacky highschool comedy bits that Japan shits out every season, except starring Nyarlathotep. Yes seriously. Pop culture references, /d/eviance, and gratuitous canon rape ensue.
  • Fireball: And the second season, Fireball: Charming. A CGI piece about robots from Disney Japa-Wait, no, don't go!! It's full of absurdist humor, and every kind of off-kilter pun, all while being a precisely accurate depiction of the Men of Iron incident from Warhammer 40,000.

Most Drawfags will draw their females in a vaguely or obviously animooted style this tends to increase 'fappable levels', if only just to make it more appealing to the general crowd weeaboos.
