763 - The Scarlet Empress disappears. The Jade Prison is broken. 764 - The forces of the Deathlord known as the Mask of Winters easily conquer Thorns. 768 - Default campaign start date

770-780[edit]

  • North - A circle of Solars, a lunar, and an alchemical sent to Creation as a scout manage to restore the city known as ondar shambal, aka whitewall. Later on, through a sorcerous miracle they manage to obliterate the largest shadowland in the north, Maramar's Fell
  • South - In response to various portents Chejop Kejak, Mnemon, the Roseblack and several legions of the realm travel to Harborhead. They're confronted by the returned empress and her husband, the ebon dragon. Chejop Kejak battles the ebon dragon to buy the others time to retreat and regroup. He falls in the battle, but succeeds in delaying the invasion until the realm's forces have retreated to the blessed isle.
  • Far to the west, the Locust Crusade begins, soon capturing much of the southwest of creation. The first and Forsaken Lion enters creation when the collapse of Gem spawns a shadowland over the thousand, however after being rebuffed in his initial attack at The Lap he is betrayed by Princess Magnificent with Lips of Coral and Robes of Black Feathers. He is once again trapped in the underworld without a shadowland, and much of his army is abolished in the storm. The fate of Princess Magnificent is unknown.
  • West - The Silver Prince's fleet led by a circle of Abyssal exalted conquer much of the west. Afterwards, The Silver Prince, the mask of winters and walker in darkness work together to strike a deal to ally with the blessed isle. They are given free access to the empire's lands in order to fight off the locust crusade and the onslaught of the green sun princes
  • Blessed Isle = After the locust crusade captures the city of Arjuf the three deathlords set upon it, and raze the city to the ground creating a large shadowland. Regent Fokuf is blamed for having allied the realm with the deathlords. The deliberative votes to remove him from power, while at the same time he claims the title of emperor and dissolves the deliberative. Civil war rages on the blessed isle. Lookshy, meanwhile, under a banner of truce sends sorcerers and technicians to help deal with the shadowland, feeling that taking advantage of the situation to attack the blessed isle would only further help the deathlords.

780-790[edit]

  • East - Ma-Ha-Suchi's campaign against the green sun princes comes to end with his eventual defeat. Raksi is defeated shortly thereafter, and submits to becoming an infernal.
  • West - Trapped between the fleet of the Silver Prince to the north and the Locust Crusade to the south the Lintha are practically obliterated, and Bluehaven is slain. Dukantha leads the survivors east, to what have become known as the Viritollands in the ruins of Harborhead.

Leviathan is denounced by the silver pact. Luthe is besieged by a circle of Lunars and captured. Leviathan is driven into exile in the wyld.

  • South - The First and Forsaken Lion travels west, to the font of mourning. Traveling through Ot's Head to Autochthonia he succeeds in killing the primordial and much of the population therein. Those that can get away, along with those already in creation travel as refugees to the blessed isle as the entire western half of the southern continent sinks into a massive shadowland.
  • Blessed Isle - The refugees of Autochthonia begin taking refuge in the blessed isle with the mountain folk. Having no home to return to, they join the war against the darkbroods to carve out a new home. They begin converting many of the tunnels and demesnes into forms more suitable to their natures.

790-800[edit]

  • Scavenger Lands - In an attempt to increase their realms to stand a chance against the First and Forsaken Lion, the Mask of Winters and Walker in Darkness begin conquest of the scavenger lands. Shortly before the Mask of Winters and his Juggernaut can reach Lookshy the seventh legion, out of desperation, has a pilot activate the captured Soulsteel warstrider Hateful Devourer of Love. Overnight the city vanishes, leaving in its previous location a shadow filled well. Nobody in creation or the underworld seems to know what happened to the city or its inhabitants. The members of the seventh legion not currently in Lookshy retreat to the blessed isle to join the sorcerers and technicians already there.
  • South - The First and Forsaken Lion swelling the ranks of his army and mastering the technology stolen and left behind by the autochthonians. Unveiling his recently completed skytitan The Final Maestrom he is able to secure his territory against any attempts by the other deathlords.
  • West - Confronted by the Solar Moray Darktide about the atrocities at Island Five the Boddhisattva Anointed by Dark Water has a crisis of faith and self. Reminded of his first age heroics, he denounces his neverborn masters and pledges to serve the good of Creation. Half of his Deathknights remain loyal to him, while the other half abandon him to serve the First and Forsaken Lion.

800-810[edit]

  • Scavenger Lands - Rebuffed in their conquest of creation by the two Deathlord's bid for rulership of the scavengerlands, a circle of Green Sun Princes plots to turn their enemies against each other. Using investigation charms that seek information lost to fate, they reveal to Walker in Darkness how he died. After confirming sending a circle of his deathknights to the invisible fortress to confirm it he declares war on the Mask of Winters. After a military campaign lasting several years, the two meet in a final confrontation, and bring each other to the brink of destruction. The Mask of Winters, unwilling to acquiesce to the void survives by merging with Walker in Darkness. A new Deathlord calling himself The Mask that Skulks in Winter emerges from the unholy union.
  • Blessed Isle - In a bid to end the struggles for control and crown herself empress the way her mother did before her Mnenom descends to the depths of the imperial manse. Succeeding in gaining control of the Sword of Creation, she uses it to scour the infernal invaders from the shores of the Blessed Isle. When she tries to turn it on their lands in Harborhead, however, she realizes her mistake. Using her knowledge of the Sword of Creation from her previous experience The Scarlet Empress and her husband succeed in causing the device to backfire, destroying the entire network in a massive display of pyrotechnics.

This massive destruction of major veins of demesnes that form the backbone of the elemental pole of earth, along with the Alchemical conversions of many underground manses causes the pole to invert. The Blessed Isle itself rips itself from the womb of Creation and hovers high above.

810-820[edit]

  • East - The Mask that Skulks in Winter unleashes a great plague on both the Linowans and the Haltans. This plague kills over a third of the population, and the dead all rise as hungry ghosts and zombies. Shadowlands spring up within both countries, which are at risk of sinking entirely into the underworld. With the help of a circle of celestial exalts and a nervous cease-fire both nations manage to survive, just barely. After dusting themselves off and realizing the other had survived, the two nations resume their eternal war.
  • Blessed Isle - Large academies spring up across and within the blessed isle. These academies train the autochthonians about the nature of creation and its elements, its history, and warfare. The academies train the realm's agents in the alchemical elements and technology. Artifacts formerly considered anathema of simply too advanced for the terrestrial exalted are extended to the alchemical exalted in order to help preserve the sanctity of the blessed isle. The vast majority of the dark broods are delimited from the blessed isle's caverns.

820-830[edit]

  • West - Returning from the wyld with a legion of fair folk under his command Leviathan begins naval warfare against the First and Forsaken Lion. He manages to seize control of several islands to the west of An-Teng.
  • South - The First and Forsaken Lion begins expanding his territory to the north and east. However, his advance is greatly slowed by the fleets of the silver prince, the clockwork sky chariots of the realm, and the legions of the Yozi, none of which can agree to stop warring with each other, but nor do they wish to see the first gain any more territory.
  • North - An alliance is brokered between the growing solar empire in the north and the silver prince's control of the west. The two sides agree to work together to rebuff the first and forsaken lion.

830-840[edit]

  • East - The Mask that Skulks in Winter concludes his domination of the East when he seizes the last territory controlled by the Dowager of Unrent Veils, who disappeared shortly before that.
  • North - The Lover Clad in Raiments of Tears leads a legion out from the Fortress of Red Ice. A large number of its agents pilot warstriders and use charms that resemble Dragon-Blooded. These terrestrial exalted, however, seem aligned with the five elements of the underworld rather than those of Creation.

840-850[edit]

  • North - A tentative cease-fire is achieved between the allied north and west and the realm. Nearly two thousand years of prejudice and hatred cannot be erased overnight, but the wyld hunt is officially called off. Both sides agree that the forces of the other deathlords and the Yozi are a greater threat to the whole of creation than each other.
  • Southeast - The forces of the yozis have conquered all lands to the west up until the border with The First and Forsaken Lion, and all lands south of the river province as far east as the wyld. Traveling to the elemental pole of wood they begin corrupting it using the unexpected reaction of the elemental pole of earth as raw data in a creation reshaping experiment.

850-866[edit]

  • North - Using knowledge gained from the silver prince, the hasantli and vanileth the solar empire begins production of skyships of a scale and quality not seen since the First Age. However, the production is slowed by limited resources given the war on several fronts.
  • Northeast - Using her unique mastery of the shadow-blooded the Lover has been capturing lands from the Linowans and Haltans one after the other. She sees some success in Hasantli league, but success is slower there due to the larger celestial presence.
  • East - The Mask that Skulks in Winter is studying the Well of Udr in earnest, attempting to discover the secrets the dowager praised so dearly. He currently possesses more deathknights than any other deathlord, having claimed possession of the deathknights of the former deathlords The Mask of Winter, Walker in Darkness and The Dowager in Unrent Veils.
  • Southeast - The corruption of the Elemental Pole of Wood proceeds slowly, but surely. Trees throughout creation begin to grow twisted. The ones in the east have vitriol for sap.
  • South - Having a number of Deathknights second only to The Mask that Skulks in Winter, advanced warmachines on par with those of the Silver Prince and the Realm, as well as a larger army than any other power, the First and Forsaken Lion continues to slowly expand his power. Small pockets of shadow appear on the underside of the blessed isle regularly, and the Alchemical and Mountainfolk forces are hard pressed to hunt them all down. Meanwhile, the forces of the dragon-blooded from the former realm and lookshy, bolstered with infantry from Harbourhead, fight a regular battle in the skies against The Final Maelstrom and its fleet.
  • Southwest - Seemingly content to control is island nation, Leviathan is largely uncontested because the other forces consider him a minor concern to be dealt with at a later date. What he's doing with his fair folk allies, as well as the alchemical technology he's managed to steal from the First, is anyone's guess.
  • West - Constantly struggling with the forces of the First and Forsaken Lion, the Silver Prince attempts to find a solution to his continued binding to his neverborn masters. Using the case study of a redeemed abyssal as a starting point his more loyal subjects fear that if a solution cannot be found soon their master will succumb once again to the neverborn and the west will be torn apart by the agents of death.
