Aleya's special edition model.

Tanau Aleya is a Witch Seeker and member of the Sisters of Silence. She is one of the narrators of the Watchers of the Throne series of novels. Since then she has become a Knight-Centura upon Roboute Guilliman reinstating her order.

Biography[edit]

Tanau was a member of a small Sisters of Silence convent on the world of Araissa. While she was on a solo mission hunting down heretics and daemon-summoners, the Black Legion came knocking, and while the planet as a whole was attacked, unknown to all the main target was the convent itself. Though Tanau hurried back as soon as she could, she was too late -- her entire convent, along with its support staff, had been slaughtered.

Filled with rage, she killed off the small warband left to guard the remains of the convent, which included a Chaos Space Marine. After finding a cryptic Astropathic message, she decided to make for Terra, but her transport ship was too damaged to make the full trip. As luck would have it, a Black Ship commanded by Navradaran rescued her, and Tanau was surprised to find that it was filled with countless other Sisters from other scattered convents.

She managed to reach Terra, just as it was in the grips of a massive attack of daemons. During the Second Battle of the Lion's Gate, she encountered and fought alongside a Custodian named Valerian, and together with other Sisters and a squad of Grey Knights they managed to bring down a massive Bloodthirster.

After the battle, she brought to Valerian's attention some evidence that the Khornate invasion was actually a diversion, and with a warp map she had found from her initial fracas with those cultists, convinced the Shield-Captain to lead a rogue mission to the fortress world of Vorlese. There they would thwart the Chaos forces from utilizing a corrupted Pylon Shard from Cadia to close off the warp conduit leading from Terra.

On The Tabletop[edit]

Tanau comes with a Knight-Centura stat line, and is equipped with the Somnus Blade (think of it as a slightly stronger executioner's greatsword), a misericordia, and auramite armor, as well as a +5 Invulnerable save. She always fight first, and may also fight one last fime before being removed from play. Her Warlord Trait provides all INFANTRY ANATHEMA PSYKANA units around 6" with a +1 bonus to advance and charge moves and allows her to reroll wound rolls of 1.

At 188 points, she is purchased as a pair with Valerian, but can be moved separately from him once deployed on the table.
